2 CONFERENCE OVERVIEW Electrification 2018 spans the spectrum of electricity end-use in the residential, commercial, industrial, and transportation sectors. Join an array of stakeholders including auto and aerospace manufacturers, utilities, builders, regulators, policy makers, and researchers to discuss everything from electric vehicles to zero-net-energy homes to indoor agriculture all from the perspective of how efficient use of electricity can help customers, reduce costs, and help the environment. Electric utilities have been investing heavily $43 billion from 2008 to 2015 in programs that directly enabled the rapid evolution of efficient electric technologies such as LED lighting, high-efficiency A/C systems, advanced heat pump systems, and myriad sensors and controls. Utilities are working closely with customers to help them cut costs and emissions through innovative electrification programs related to electric vehicle infrastructure, industrial and agricultural electrification, and other vital areas.
