This is a one-year grant position beginning on January 1, Position ends at its expiration of March 31, South Dakota Allied Health Training (SDAHT) Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training (TAACCCT) Grant: Provides health care education to rural South Dakota, through a consortium consisting of the four South Dakota technical institutes, Oglala Lakota College and Sinte Gleska University. The focus will be on increasing the number of students 1

2 enrolled in healthcare credential, certificate or degree programs. By expanding the number of students in healthcare, the educational consortium will have the ability to enhance, expand, and improve: health care curriculum with advanced technology-enabled learning. employer relationships and industry engagement with post-secondary education. employment outcomes of participants. Essential Functions Statement(s) Work with current TAACCCT students, instructors andmentors to coordinate program details. Work with TAACCCT students for placement with South Dakota rural health providers utilizing career ladders developed through the grant. Coordinate state-wide marketing efforts for Southeast Technical Institute grant programs utilizing a variety of methods for rural health promotion. Work with the Southeast Technical Institute Academics Department to coordinate meetings with industry partners to determine needs and check progress of the South Dakota Allied Health Training (SDAHT) TAACCCT Grant. Maintain and promote health camp kits throughout rural South Dakota. Work with the SDAHT TAACCCT clearinghouse project to provide a link between students and employers. Work with rural South Dakota health providers to find current employees capable of being upskilled. Work with South Dakota Department of Labor Regulation (DLR) to identify TAA eligible workers. Utilize Southeast Technical Institute Toolkit from TAACCCT 2 with consortium partners to retain students Work with the Southeast Technical Institute Academics Department, the healthcare providers, and the consortium partners to provide a health care Massive Open Online Course (MOOC). SKILLS & ABILITIES Education : Bachelor s Degree, Master s Degree preferred in Education, Marketing, Allied Health or related field. Experience : Utilization of best marketing practices for health programs. Knowledge of HIPAA and FERPA. Prior experience working with adult learners. Understand and utilize best practices in online and blended instruction. Computer Skills Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, database management systems and the ability to learn new software packages relative to the grant management processes. Fully functional with online communication tools (instant messaging, live chat, forums, s. Ability to understand and utilize technology for online/blended instruction with focus on MOOC. Certificates & Licenses: None required 3

5 WORK ENVIRONMENT General office environment with standard office equipment available. Lighting and temperature are adequate for office work, and classroom environment. Moderate noise levels typical of an office environment due to staff/student conversations. Simulation classroom interaction tend to have louder noise levels due to simultaneous conversations and kinetic demonstrations. May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions when traveling on campus or the external community. Job is sedentary in both classroom and office environments. Possible exposure to communicable diseases.
