1 SYNERGY The Profess Consulting Group Internal Bulletin #List of Contents GMC Retreat Global Talent Link KUM'17 COMM Day TAZKIRAH A Message from GCEO T his year Profess Consulting Group is further enriched by the incorporation of a new strategic consulting enterprises (SCE) - Global Talent Link Sdn Bhd (GTLSB) to venture into the business of executive search and placement. We are now made up of five SCEs each with different core functions. It is our deliberate intention to have these SCEs in order to serve our clients better - by taking advantage of the synergy between them. We can also do cross-selling among the SCEs. As a group of SCE s, the strength of the Group is derived from the collective strength of the SCEs improving the way we work together and complement each other on a project would naturally improve the solution we provide to our clients; and enhance one s contribution to the Group. There were cases when a project involved two or three SCEs, and/or with partners from outside inh?eyhkr@0h0lhkr@0h bc0a;+2q - we were able to come up with a unique solution for the client, which would not have been possible from one SCE alone. The result of the collaboration benefited our client greatly, and it has embellished the consultants involved in the project. We should aim to develop mutually beneficial relationships with our key clients and follow the principle of exceeding client's expectations To do this we need to look beyond the immediate project with a particular client: is there a need of the client we could fulfill without incurring much cost, such as introducing a contact or a vendor that we know well? 2 Page 2 G GMC RETREAT Damai Laut MC Retreat is an annual event for GMC members. The event was held at Damai Laut for 3 days. The details of the event are as follows: VENUE : Swiss-Garden Beach Resort Damai Laut DATE :5th - 7th January 2017 DAY : Thursday - Saturday The objectives of the event were to evaluate 2016 group performance and to develop 2017 business plan. 3 COMMUNICATION DAY 1/17 Profess Communication Day (COMM Day) is a bi-annual event held at the beginning and middle of every calendar year. The objectives of the COMM Day are as follows: for the GCEO and the GMC to share the Group's business performance with all staff an opportunity for the Management, consultants and staff to touch base, both at the corporate and personal level. This is particularly important, as there were numerous occassions when a project was jointlyundertaken by consultants and staff from different SCEs to get the right blend of competencies. to reinforce Group Core Values which are : Stewardship, Synergy, Customer Focus, Innovative and God Conscious. On Friday 20th January 2017, the first COMM Day session for 2017 was held at PKNS in Shah Alam. The event kickedoff with a welcoming speech from Tn Hj Nahar Md Nor, Head, Group Corporate Services. In his speech, he introduced the new SCE-Global Talent Link Sdn Bhd and its new staff, Pn Nor Azizah Abdul Karim. After that all new staff from various SCEs were requested to introduce themselves individually. The event continued with a corporate game conducted by Jaslizan Jaafar from Irshad. The objective of the game was to reinforce the Group's Core Values. The game brought positive impact and furthermore it generated closer bonding between employees from various SCEs. The event then proceeded with the main agenda - the presentation by the GCEO, Tn Hj Mohd Adam Mohd Said. In his speech, the GCEO shared his aspiration that - even though 2017 was touted to be a challenging one - by working closely together, keeping focused on our priorities and always adhering to our Core Values, we would be able to realize our business targets. In addition, with the uncertain outlook for 2017, he reminded the staff to use their resources: time and money wisely. The presentation ended with Q&A Session followed with Hi-Tea.
