1 JOB DSCRIPTION JOB TITL: RPORTING TO: Service/Project: Recovery Worker Service Manager/Senior Worker (as appropriate to Service/Project structure) Community Wellbeing Services JOB OUTLIN RW 1 1. To provide support within a prescribed location/service, as defined in your terms and conditions of employment 2. To support clients and/or staffing team to successfully deliver agreed service/project objectives 3. To provide practical and/or emotional assistance and support to clients JOB OUTLIN RW 2 In addition to the job outline defined at RW 1, you must: 1. To plan and co-ordinate a programme of activities and evaluate this with clients to ensure it meets their personal goals and aspirations 2. To carry out client needs assessments. 3. To supervise, at least, one designated member of the staffing team, including volunteers. KY DUTIS RW 1 1. To support clients with mental health issues to attend groups, one to one support, activities, training and personal & professional development opportunities. 2. To assist in enabling clients to develop their self confidence, self esteem and to be self determining through successful completion of a programmes of activity/training/development. 3. To complete and maintain up to date records on a daily basis as directed by your line manager.

2 4. To offer clients a safe environment to express themselves creatively whilst being supported in a recovery focussed way which also addresses issues of social isolation. 5. To work alongside volunteers and peer mentors working within the service 6. To assist colleagues, senior staff, tutors in supporting and coaching clients/students. 7. To assist in the continuous monitoring and evaluation of the service according to the requirements of the contract, identifying and managing risks to ensure compliance 8. As directed by your Line Manager, keywork with a specified number of clients (through one to one individual support), experiencing mental health issues and/or complex needs and assist them in identifying and achieving personal goals and aspirations. 9. To liaise with statutory personnel and voluntary organisations within the local area, to encourage partnership working and increase the range of opportunities available for clients. 10. To help facilitate regular client meetings and work closely with the client engagement service (OCC). KY DUTIS RW 2 In addition to duties defined within a RW 1role you will be required to fulfil all of the following: 1. To take responsibility for identified lead areas and attend relevant meetings and training as required 2. To supervise, at least, one designated member of the staffing team, including volunteers. 3. To lead on completing needs assessments with clients. 4. To oversee the carrying out of person-centred plans with clients. 5. To lead in the move-on of clients, when assessed as ready. 6. Assist in ensuring Health and Safety risk and quality compliance with senior staff.

3 7. To assist in the continuous monitoring and evaluation of the service/client outcomes alongside senior staff. GNRAL Under the provision of the Data Protection Act, it is the responsibility of each member of the team to ensure that all data, whether computerised or manual, is kept secure at all times. This includes data relating to members, other employees and volunteers. Data must not be disclosed to any unauthorised person and must be regarded as strictly confidential at all times. The post holder may be in possession of personal details of members and other confidential information. This must not be discussed or divulged to any unauthorised person. Whilst developing a rapport with members, based on respect and honesty, the post holder will at all times work within clear professional boundaries. The post holder will participate in appraisals, training and personal continuous development. They will also take part in structured supervision programme. The post holder will be aware of Sussex Oakleaf policies and procedures relevant to them. The document is not meant to be exhaustive. 5 xperience RW 1 xperience of working in: Health Social Care Community Development Housing Having lived experience within your area of expertise (eg: mental health; personality disorder; homelessness.) xperience of supporting individuals to develop person centre plans based on their own goals and aspirations Knowledge of current practices and concepts relevant to the service (eg: mental health; personality disorder; housing; community development; homelessness; young people.) Demonstrable understanding of the needs of people using the service D, x & I xperience of facilitating groups and chairing meetings D xperience RW 2 xperience in formal supervision of staff Sound experience of working with young people with mental health difficulties.
