6 an exploratory interview with the prospective franchisor to determine, provisionally, the suitability of the concept and the individuals involved for franchising; a comprehensive, fifteen-point viability study to ascertain the replicability of the concept; audit, research, preparation and compilation of the Franchise Agreement, the Disclosure Document and the Operations and Procedures Manual; reworking the financial statements; obtaining FASA membership on behalf of the client; marketing the franchises; providing training and management services. The Principals Louis Mienie Louis matriculated from Pietersburg High School and after military training studied law at the Potchefstroom University. He also obtained a degree in Political Science, majoring in International Politics and Philosophy. He joined the Unifurn Group, a full subsidiary of Trust Bank, where he became the General Manager of some 100 retail stores. Full FASA Membership 6

7 In the mid 1980 s he started his own interior decorating business, which he successfully managed until he ventured into the corporate market where he was involved in the listing of various companies. He was appointed as director of the Sentinel Group in 1996 where he headed the business consulting division, after which he branched out to establish The Practice Business Consultancy and of which he is currently the Chief Executive Officer. Dr Jos Chadinha Jos Chadinha obtained a D Phil degree from the University of the Free State in 1989 and has been registered with the SABPP as a Master HR Practitioner in the category Generalist since 2002 and as a Master HR Practitioner in the category Education Training and HG Development since Dr Chadinha has vast practical and theoretical experience in Human Resources, General Management, Industrial Relations (with the inclusion of the CCMA), Training and Development, Organisational Design and Organisational Efficiency studies, and has worked in the national- and local government, mining industry and private sector, and in Higher Education. He went into private practice in He is a shareholder of and was appointed as a Director of The Practice Central Business Consultancy in He is also a shareholder and director of various other companies.
