DO NOT MIX SIZES IN THE SAME CARTON! Exceptions Sizes may be mixed in the same carton if merchandise is prepackaged by store or in case pack quantities (Ship Modes 4 and 5). If there are not enough units of one or more SKUs to fill a box at the end of a shipment, then these leftover units may be combined in a series of mixed cartons at the end of a shipment. Packing list (when required) must indicate which cartons are mixed. Packing Instructions Follow the instructions below. Price ticket all merchandise. Pack Securely Pack all non-apparel merchandise securely to prevent damage in shipping. Shipping Merchandise must be shipped complete via our authorized consolidators. Next 5 digits indicate size, length, and color - First 3 digits Always Last 2 digits Color of the item. Color information is available on the original vendor PO. Use Tickets wherever possible. Use Labels on items where a ticket cannot be attached.

Cushioning for Fragile Items Protecting Fragile Items During Shipment All fragile items must be wrapped separately and have separation from each other in the carton. Fragile objects such as electronics, glass, ceramics, and artwork, require special packaging for safe shipment. Packages containing these and similar items may require added cushioning or a double (over) box. In general, to protect fragile carton contents: Each item must be surrounded by cushioning and be placed at least two inches (5.08 cm) away from the walls of the box. The container itself should have 2 inches of cushioning on all sides, top and bottom. This prevents product-against-product damage and protects contents from shock and vibration, which can pass from the outside of the box to the contents. Improper Cushioning Material Improper cushioning material includes: clothing blankets towels newspaper/newsprint pillows Instead, use materials listed in Acceptable Cushioning Material on page 56 to cushion and protect your shipment. Continued on next page

Cushioning for Fragile Items, Continued Acceptable Cushioning Material Use proper cushioning material and a strong outer container, to fully protect your shipment. Use enough cushioning material to ensure that the contents do not move when you shake the container. See the table below for a list of acceptable cushioning materials. Cushioning Material Air-encapsulated plastic (small and large cell bubble sheeting) Inflatable packaging (Air Bags) Additional Information Designed to protect and cushion lightweight items. Use in multiple wraps and layers to ensure that the item is completely protected, especially on corners and edges. Use primarily as void-fill materials for lightweight items. Not recommended for items with sharp corners or edges. Extreme hot or cold temperatures may affect the ability of air bags to provide adequate product protection. Corrugated liners and inserts Crumpled kraft paper Engineered foam enclosures May be added to the package to increase strength and improve package performance. Use primarily as a void-fill material for light-to-medium weight, non-fragile items and items that are suitable for such packing materials Must be tightly crumpled. Place at least two inches (5.08 cm) of paper between contents and outer box. Materials may include expanded polystyrene, polyethylene, polypropylene, or copolymers. Make sure that enclosures are pre-engineered for specific products.

Cushioning Material Expanded polystyrene "peanuts" (loose fill) Foam-in-place/ Foam-in-bag Additional Information Use primarily as void-fill material for lightweight items. Overfill the box with loose fill, gently close the flaps, and seal securely. DO NOT USE with flat or narrow products that may move to the edge or bottom of the carton in transit. Due to the shifting and settling properties of peanuts, we recommend that a minimum of two inches (5.08 cm) of cushioning be used around the contents. Place flat pieces of corrugated fiberboard between contents and peanuts to prevent migration through the peanuts. Electronic Items: Peanuts cause static electricity and may damage electronic items, SO Use anti-static peanuts for electronic items, OR Use plastic bags, bubble sheeting, or other items to wrap the item so peanuts will not work themselves into areas that may cause harm to your merchandise. Definition: A foam --sprayed into the box or mixed in packets -- that expands and forms a protective mold around contents Use foam properly be careful to distribute foam evenly around the contents. This material is offered in varying densities, so it is important to select the most appropriate foam to meet the requirements of the product.

Vendor Loading Requirements GOH IMPORTANT! PLEASE FOLLOW THE GUIDELINES IN THIS SECTION! Merchandise not loaded according to specifications in this section may result in penalties. (See Penalties.) GOH Products There are four primary divisions of GOH product. Div. 10 Sportcoats, Div. 30 Suits Div 60 Woven camp shirts and casual shirt jackets Div. 70 Outerwear. Occasionally, Div. 20 Slacks may be loaded as GOH. GOH Loading Requirements When loading GOH into the trailer, the following procedures must be followed: Start loading as far to the front of the trailer as possible. Start loading on the left side of the trailer. Point all hangers toward the nose of the trailer. Start at the top loop using a minimum of four (4) garments to a loop some garments may require less per loop such as outerwear. The button side of the garment must face the left-side wall of the trailer. Garments are not to drag the floor of the trailer. Load all garments by PO/Color/Size as follows: 1. Shorts, then 2. Regs, then 3. Longs, then 4. Extra Longs OR 1. Small 2. Medium 3. Large 4. XL 5. Etc. Hang a card displaying the following information on the first item of the PO: Purchase Order # Lot # Color Quantity Wherever a change in PO occurs, hang another card as described above. Affix all packing lists for every PO loaded to the lead garment by the door.

DO NOT split POs into more than one container. If you run into a space problem contact one of the following: For domestic shipments: Transportation Department For Direct International shipments: The overseas agent If You Must Split the PO If you must split a PO into more than one container/truck load, then create two packing lists, one for each container/truck load. Each packing list should only state the garments that are loaded into a particular container/truck load. No handmade Rack Cages/Fencing of any sort is allowed; this presents a safety hazard to our employees. All containers should either have a chain device with ropes or rails attached securely with ropes for hanging units. If GOH is loaded in the same container/truck load with cartons/flat pack then load the GOH in the tail and the cartons in the nose of the container/truck load. A loading sequence plan must be provided with the shipping documents.

Vendor Loading Requirements Carton Shipments (Flat Pack) IMPORTANT! PLEASE FOLLOW THE GUIDELINES IN THIS SECTION! Merchandise not loaded according to specifications in this section could result in penalties. (See Penalties.) Carton Shipments (Flat Pack) Carton Shipments can be loaded in two different ways depending on the space needed to complete the load. Palletized (preferred), or Floor stacked (acceptable when required by space constraints on the trailer) Flat Pack: All Direct International shipments are to be floor stacked. Below are specific specifications for each type of loading. Palletized Loads Use a standard 40 x48 pallet. Load pallets with one PO/Color only. Stack pallets evenly with no more than twenty-eight cartons per pallet, or not to exceed 90 in height. Display the ship label information on each carton facing the outside. Stretch-wrap pallets whenever possible to secure the load. DO NOT double-stack pallets in the trailer. Vendor is responsible for clearly marking the separation of PO/Color between the pallets. Affix the packing slip to the lead carton of each PO/Color. Load pallets front-in (not sideways) so they can easily be unloaded with a pallet jack. Continued on next page

Pallet/Block Patterns Load all pallets according to the pattern shown below. Top View Front View Ship Label Floor Stacked Loads If cartons/flat pack are loaded in the same container/truck load with GOH then load the GOH in the tail and the cartons in the nose of the container/truck load. A loading sequence plan must be provided with the shipping documents. Load all cartons left to right, from wall to wall and from the floor up. Display the ship label information on the carton facing the front. Load all PO s complete and separated by color. Load cartons one on top of another from left to right and moving back to the left upon completion of a row. DO NOT split POs into more than one container/truck load. If you run into a space problem contact one of the following: For domestic shipments: Transportation Department. For Direct International shipments: The overseas agent. If You Must Split a PO If a PO must be split into more than one container/truck load then create two packing lists, one for each container/truck load. Vendor is responsible for clearly marking the separation of PO/Color (only for domestic shipments). Affix all packing lists for every PO loaded to the lead carton by the door. No handmade Rack Cages/Fencing of any sort is allowed; this presents a safety hazard to our employees.
