3 THE HIGH PERFORMING, FLEXIBLE CARTONER The A83 Series is the most suitable range of cartoners to meet these requirements. With the same machine frame the A83 is available in two versions, A83E, output of 140 cartons/minute and A83EH, output of 160 cartons/minute. Both versions have no limitation on the A+B carton dimensions. ERGONOMICS AND MACHINE DESIGN Compact balcony construction and clean design, ensuring greater accessibility, ease-of-use, complete view of all parts and enabling installation in a small production space. The guarding concept makes the machine totally accessible to the operator and allows a very quick change over. The loading position of materials such as cartons, leaflets, booklets and blisters has been especially conceived to facilitate the working conditions of the operator.

A wide range of minimum and maximum carton dimensions can be run on A83E/EH. 4 CARTON PICK-UP OPENING AND TRANSPORT The withdrawal, opening and positioning of the carton are patented by IMA. This system also allows for the use of cartons made of recycled materials. Only a few parts are involved in the changeover. Carton dust does not fall on any mechanical machine parts. PRODUCT AND LEAFLET INSERTION Positive introduction of blister and leaflet in to the carton thank to the pre-break blade on the pushing device which allows a smooth introduction of the leaflet inside the carton. 6 CODING AND CLOSING AREA The coding stations are located in an area easily accessible to the operator. Codes can be applied by embossing, ink-jet or laser. All the common closure types can be implemented. Customized solutions are available on demand. OPERATOR INTERFACE A Computer touch screen, with colour monitor and graphical representation, enables easy and intuitive management of the machine s production and status. Production statistics, trouble shooting, including changeover instructions, maintenance and manuals can also be obtained through the HMI screen.
