The story of the Festival and its place in the community spans over 60 years, from its early beginnings as a nighttime parade, to the spectacle it is today entertaining 1.5 million people annually. With all of the fun the Festival provides, the challenges of sponsorship, board relations, governmental regulations, and communications are constant.
