2 Dear Carrier Associate: The Carrier Customer Visit Program has been successful and has grown tremendously over the past three years. Last year, over 250 customers visited Carrier s manufacturing facilities in the United States. I strongly encourage you to bring your customers to our plants and let them see for themselves the world-class factories that distinguish Carrier from our competition. We have made some improvements to the overall program policies. Be assured we will continue to provide the level of service you ve become accustomed to. Please take a moment to read over some of the following process improvements: 1. Our facilities in Charlotte, NC, and McMinnville, TN, operate on a limited staff. As a result, if you require technical or marketing support during your visit, arrangements must be made in advance. All international visits must be communicated with the Export Manager and coordinated through the Customer Visit Office allowing two weeks advance notice at a minimum. We regret that a product manager may not be present at your visit if proper notification is not received. 2. It is imperative that you complete a Visitor Form prior to the customer visit. In order for us to ensure the customer s trip is as productive as possible, please provide a background of the job or order situation so that we can tailor the visit accordingly. You should offer us information about your customer s expectations prior to arrival. 3. To ensure a quality experience, we strongly encourage that a Carrier salesperson or representative is present for the entire visit. 4. If you require travel arrangements, we recommend that they be made through UTC s preferred agent, Carlson Wagonlit Travel. A travel arrangement form is attached for your use. You must complete and submit the form via fax or to Carlson Travel. A confirmation notice will be sent to you. If you choose to use a different travel agency, then please make sure you send me a copy of your itinerary. 5. Please be prepared to give me your corporate credit card account number for any incidental charges such as catering or transportation needs while your customers are visiting our plant facilities. This procedure will facilitate any chargebacks to your business offices and ensure all charges are posted correctly.
