It can also serve as sales support for staff and an opportunity for customers to find information on their own. Access to the complete product range Link between online and in-store shopping Sales support THE CUSTOMER JOURNEY A well-planned customer journey encourages the customer to stay in the store longer, leading to increased sales. Here we describe the activity zones and the applications we offer for the customer journey. Transition zone Provides a good opportunity to welcome the customer to the store and remind them of current offers. Attraction zone Customers who are familiar with the store move quickly towards a specific goal. Providing information that causes the customer to slow down breaks this trend and increases the probability that he or she will notice new products. Digital Signage in shop windows and entrances should be attractive, encouraging shoppers to enter the store. Increase footfall by showing special offers and new products or services. Traffic zone

Easy to find the right product Access to detailed information Possibility of ordering products currently not in stock in the store Integration between online and in-store shopping Category zone The products in a store are arranged in categories to make it easier for the customer to find what they are looking for. Interactive information services provide a complement to sales personnel, allowing the customer to find detailed information on a product. Advertisements for certain brands and inspirational film clips can be shown on large screens, providing entertainment. Information zone Information zones, providing information on the values of the chain and on loyalty programmes, are common in large department stores. They provide a means of strengthening the brand and informing customers on the environmental and societal responsibilities taken by the chain. Checkout zone Having selected their items, the customer now proceeds to the checkout. Small, less expensive items are normally located here to encourage impulse purchases. They also help reduce the perceived queueing time. Information on these products, as well as more entertaining information, can be shown on digital screens here. Exit zone Having made their purchases, the customer leaves the store. Take this opportunity to thank them for their visit, welcome them back, or give them some information on next week s special offers leave them with the feeling of a pleasurable shopping experience. It s also possible to ask the customer to evaluate their shopping experience or ask them for suggestions interactively, by answering a couple of simple questions on a touchscreen.
