2 PEGASUS CIS (4.01): GUIDE TO ENHANCEMENTS Pegasus CIS provides companies operating in the construction industry an unparaeed eve of contro over every aspect of contract management so that they have a the information they need to make their projects run profitaby. This atest reease takes this further by providing additiona features that make running contracts profitaby more attainabe. Pegasus CIS (4.01) sees the addition of a number of new enhancements. Existing users now have more functionaity to improve the way they contro and anayse their contracts. For new customers, the new features make Pegasus CIS a more compeing soution to impement because they re based on user experience and bring rea-word improvements to the Pegasus CIS proposition. This document is an overview of some of the new features avaiabe in Pegasus CIS v

3 Subcontractor: amending monthy returns CIS Subcontractor Monthy Returns now aows previous returns to be amended and re-submitted as per the HMRC Apri 2016 guideines. A fu history of a submissions is aso maintained for auditabiity. The foowing changes and enhancements have been made: To aow amendments to be made to previous Monthy Returns, the system can now have more than one Monthy Return active at any one time. Therefore, a active Monthy Returns can now be found in a new "Current Monthy Returns" option under the "Monthy Return" menu. A new "Create Revision" operation has been added to the "Monthy Return History" screen. This aows a previousy submitted Monthy Return to be amended and re-submitted whist keeping the history and Submission References of a previous submissions. Once a revision has been created for a Monthy Return, the payments incuded in the return can be amended and the Revised Monthy Returns can then be re-submitted. To make an amendment it may be required to revise two different Monthy Returns at the same time, e.g. to move a payment from period 2 to period 3, both months woud have to be revised, the payment deseected on period 2 and seected on period 3, then both periods woud need to be re-submitted. This is a particuary important enhancement because Subcontractor monthy returns need to be amended eectronicay, and Pegasus CIS now provides this functionaity. Subcontractor: partia payments The Subcontractor Partia Payments routine has been updated to aow gross abour and materia vaues to be entered instead of a net vaue which is spit pro-rata over the abour, materia, discount and retention figures. This aows greater contro over the abour and materia spit, and therefore the CIS tax payabe. Subcontractor: data anaysis The foowing enhancements have been made for improved data anaysis: Subcontractor Transaction enquiry options have been added for Interna Vauation Transactions, Certificate Transactions and Payment Transactions. These are in addition to the existing A Subcontractor Transactions enquiry options. The Certificate and Payment Transaction enquiries have been expanded to show a breakdown of the aocations and inks to the origina transaction they ve been aocated to. A Certificate Transactions enquiry has been added to Subcontractor Orders. Certificate Transactions and Payment Transactions on the Subcontractor record have been updated with aocation breakdowns. Support for unimited Opera 3/Opera II companies Pegasus CIS now aows unimited companies to be inked to Opera 3/Opera II

4 Date vaidation Transaction date vaidation routines have been added, with options to vaidate against previous and future financia years, cosed and future financia periods and prior and future dates. This is designed to hep ensure that transactions are posted into the correct accounting period. Saes: pant hire The Externa Pant Hire routines "Mark Pant as Off Hire" and "Resume On Hire Status" have been updated so that when the Time on Job is being cacuated and an invoice has aready been raised against the item, the system wi aow a different number of items to be entered than is actuay on hire. This resoves a potentia rounding error by aowing the user to specify both the Number of Items and the Time on Job. Integration with Pegasus XRL Pegasus CIS (4.01) is compatibe with the atest reease of Pegasus XRL (1.64). Customers on earier versions of Pegasus CIS who use Pegasus XRL can now upgrade to Pegasus CIS v4.01. This is particuary important to customers sti on Pegasus CIS v because support for that version wi cease at some point in the near future. Improved usabiity There s a whoe range of enhancements in Pegasus CIS (4.01) designed to improve functionaity and processing, and new fieds have been added to a number of forms to record usefu additiona information. Here are a few of those improvements: 1. Purchase Invoicing The VAT Vaue and the VAT Vaue After Discount can be specified when settement discount has been appied. These vaues are then passed through to Pegasus Opera II, Opera 3 and Sage 200. (Sage 50 does not support this feature). The Purchase Invoice Header and VAT Spit screens have been redesigned to accommodate this new functionaity. 2. Additiona fieds Contract Notes and Heath & Safety Notes have been added to the Subcontractors screen. Subcontractor Anaysis Codes 1, 2 & 3 have been added to the Subcontractors screen. Interna Notes have been added to Subcontractor Orders screen. Date Created and Date Modified fieds have been added to the Subcontractors tabe so they can be added to ist views. Document Link (PDF Fie Name) fied has been added to Subcontractor Invoice and Appication postings to aow a document on the fie system to be referenced on transactions. A new Subcontractor Baances By Subcontractor/Job report has been added. 3. Subcontractor verification Subcontractor Onine Verifications can now be submitted even if the Subcontractor does not have a URN, CRN or NINO. 4. Stock Search Stock ookups now aow for searching on the Preferred Suppier Reference fied. Pegasus CIS (4.01) contains many more enhancements.
