Main duties/responsibilities Corporate Responsibility: Report and be responsible to your department head and the MD. Manage and organise your allocated workload, and monitor to insure deadlines are met. Take responsibility for quality, productivity and performance of the Quantity service provided. Achieve targets set out by the MD. Assist the Marketing Manager, to expand and develop Quantity Surveying activities with existing and new clients. Comply with the company s policies and procedures, referring to HR department and other sources, such as the company handbook. Maintain and develop personal CPD training. Role key skills/requirements: Prepare tender and contract documents including Bill of Quantities Schedules of work and specifications. Prepare initial budget estimate and cost plans. Advising on procurement strategy. Preparing and analysing tender returns.

4 Providing advice on contractual claims. Valuing complete works on site and preparing interim valuations. Preparing risk and value management control registers. Preparing initial cost reports on live projects. Preparing Final Cost/Final Account documents. Maintaining awareness of different building contracts and advising thereon. Good understanding of Health and Safety regulations. Flexible worker, able to put in hours to get the work done. May have to work extra hours. Happy to travel to project sites and clients. Ideally you will also have the following Professional/Personal Skills/Attributes: Must be degree or diploma qualified, or experience qualified. Methodical Thinker. Have a sharp mind. Leadership and management skills. Knowing when to lead and when to be led. Good problem solving skills. Juggling priorities and handling situations. Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Excellent communication and people skills. Ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues. Excellent numeracy skills. Computer literate. Microsoft Word and Excel Proficient. UK driving licence and car owner.

As a senior Quantity Surveyor you should also come from a professional Quantity Surveying background, with about 1-3 years experience. Benefits: 1.
