2 The 6th version of the BICSI Andean Congress 2010 will be held in Colombia as a trade show and academic event within the field of telecommunications and data transportation infrastructure. Its central theme this time is: "Solutions for a connected world. BICSI is the ultimate meeting place for business. It a commercial and academic event that brings together approximately 600 industry professionals, including manufacturers, distributors, implementers and end-user channels, so they talk about recent developments and networking trends, outside plant solutions and latest technology. BICSI Andean this year will take place in the CARMEL CLUB (Autopista Norte No ) Bogotá-Colombia.

3 PREVIOUS CONFERENCES The International BICSI organization is present in Colombia since Over the past years their efforts have been focused on the professionalization of the market and telecommunications infrastructure. Five versions of the Andean BICSI conference have been launched so far. In the most recent 2008 conference, it gathered nearly 500 technology managers from countries around the Andean region (Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela and Peru). That year, more than 28 manufacturers, major media sources of business and technology, as well as telecom operators, attended the trade show.
