On behalf of the Montgomery Area Community Club Board of Directors and the entire Montgomery community, we invite and encourage your company to become a member of the 2017 Kolacky Days Sponsorship Program. The celebration became a valuable event to showcase community. It still holds true today that the success of the community can be attributed to the efforts of the city and business leaders of the past and present such as yourselves! With such a filling history as a tasteful community celebration, Kolacky Days now has almost 50 events with the most popular being the Queen s Pageant, the Classic Car Show in Historic Downtown Montgomery, and culminating with the Grand Day Parade, which has been said to be one of the top parades in the area. We even were nominated for one of the Best Community Events in SoMinn in 2016! Our Twelve (12) member volunteer Board of Directors and over a hundred volunteers all take pride in carrying on this proud past by providing a variety of events that entertain people of all ages. It takes thousands of hours to coordinate the festival, and it cannot be done without the financial support from businesses like yours. We are counting on you to help us keep the Kolacky Days festival a successful community event that you, your employees, and everyone s families can enjoy this year and many years to come. Your sponsorship support may be a tax deductible advertising expense for your business and is valued highly as the festival is enjoyed and appreciated by many. It is a great way to get your business s name advertised and show your community pride. The form will serve as your receipt but if you need an invoice, please contact the Montgomery Area Community Club office. 3 SPONSORSHIP BENEFITS With your help, the board and the 100 plus community volunteers are committed to making 2017 the very best it can be!! So how does your sponsorship benefit your business? What promotional opportunities exist for the different sponsorship levels? Besides showing your community spirit, we have developed a variety of promotions for you and your business! Details found below: $100 KOLACKY DAYS VOUCHER - NEW FOR 2017! As a Premier Titanium Sponsor, you will receive a $100 Kolacky Days Voucher that can be used on five (5) Authentic Czech Dinners hosted on Kolacky Days Friday at the American Legion, money to be used on registration fees for the 5K Bun Run, ½ Mile Kid s Race, 2 Mile Fitness Walk, Co-Ed Volleyball Tournament, Softball Tournament, or Tour de Bun or $100 worth of Official Kolacky Days Merchandise sold through the MACC Office. MACC will reach out to see how you would like to have the vouchers spent. ADVERTISING As a Premier Titanium or Titanium Sponsor, we will work with our partners in radio and recognize your business as a proud sponsor of Kolacky Days when our Kolacky Days spots air. BANNERS As a Premier Titanium, Titanium, or Platinum Sponsor, we will proudly display a business banner in the park in recognition of your level of commitment to the festival. This banner will need to be provided by you and will be on display above the band shell or in another location in the heart of Memorial Park. A THANK YOU BANNER recognizing all our sponsors will also be displayed near the Pivo (Beer) Garden! BUN RUN T-SHIRT NAMED SPONSOR - NEW FOR 2017! In 2016, a total of over 200 runners or walkers participated in either the Kolacky Days 5K Bun Run, the Kolacky Days 2-Mile Fitness Walk or the ½ Mile Kids Race. We are now offering the opportunity for Gold level and above sponsors to have their business names listed on the back of the t-shirt that is given out to the participants. GRAND DAY PARADE Multiple opportunities exist for sponsors at the Grand Day parade. First, the entry fee is waived for sponsors. Secondly, certain sponsors receive priority and are placed at the beginning of the parade. This priority is based on your sponsorship level. Finally, as a Premier Titanium sponsor, we will display a business banner provided by you on the Montgomery Area Community Club parade entry thanking and acknowledging you for your sponsorship. Interested parties still need to register for the parade separately. KOLACKY DAYS PROMOTIONAL POSTER The Montgomery Area Community Club develops a poster announcing the schedule of events for the weekend celebration. The poster is distributed for display in over 250 businesses all around Montgomery and 20 surrounding communities. This is typically distributed to over 100 locations outside of Montgomery. Your name and logo can be added to this poster for the right price! KOLACKY DAYS WEB SITE People use the internet to learn and do pretty much everything. Kolacky Days is no exception. We post the schedule of events, forms, contact information, but also our sponsors. Since the updated web site went live, we average almost 1,485 unique visitors a month, who on average visit 3 web pages a visit. This is 35% increase over last year. Depending on sponsorship levels, your business logo or name will be found under sponsors or on the homepage. Some

4 sponsorship levels will also allow for links to your web site as well. This form of sponsorship advertisement lasts a lot longer than the celebration as you will be listed for a one (1) year. MEMBERSHIP As a sponsor, you will automatically become a member of the Montgomery Area Community Club where a person receives member only newsletters and gets a vote in picking the next year s button. PERKS Depending on sponsorship, you will receive a certain number of the Collectible Kolacky Days Buttons for use by you and your employees. Secondly, you will also receive a Certificate of Sponsorship that you can proudly display in your place of business along with an oversized Collectible Kolacky Days Button for you to display and keep at your business. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS BROCHURE A brochure highlighting the weekend schedule is developed each year. It also includes contact information, a history lesson, and an area where we get to thank all of our sponsors. In 2016, nearly 3,000 brochures were printed and handed out. It is another opportunity where your business could be highlighted for showing your community spirit as a sponsor. SOCIAL MEDIA The Montgomery Area Community Club has embraced social media as a way to reach its audience. As a sponsor, we will promote your business via one or more of social media outlets with a variety of options! Just another way we can reach your local customers! Some of the promotions require you to have an existing page. Facebook 3,825 Fans with nearly 1,300 of them calling either Montgomery, New Prague, Lonsdale or Le Center home. It s near the Top 10 for Festival Facebook Page for Minnesota City celebrations. Posts around Kolacky Days reached 98,736 people with 13,522 people engaged by either LIKING, COMMENTING, or SHARING our posts. Instagram Over 425 followers, which is what we believe to be in the Top 6 in the State! Larger than the St. Paul Winter Carnival! We interact with all Sponsors on Instagram Twitter We interact with all Sponsors on Twitter THANK YOU AD A THANK YOU ad will run in the Montgomery Messenger (circulation 1,800) and the Times Extra (circulation 19,200) as well as being posted through our social media outlets. It is another opportunity to recognize how important you are to the festival.

5 HISTORY FESTIVAL EVENTS & ACTIVITIES Your financial assistance helps us in providing the following festival events, activities, and aides in covering the following expenses: One of the longest running traditions of Kolacky Days is the Kolacky Eating Contest. It has been a part of the festival since the very beginning so it s actually been around longer than the Kolacky Queen and the Kolacky Days Button traditions. An article from the Montgomery Messenger summed up the contest quite well There is no beauty, poise, personality involved, however, for the only qualification has been: How many Kolackys can he or she eat in a given period of time, against challenging competition? Entrants into the contest has been three or four one year and as high as 30 at other times. It still have never been won by a woman and has been won by a St. Paulite on more occasions than by local Montgomerians.
