At the heart of the agro-bio-vet pole of the University of Toulouse, our institution offers some training programs in life science and technology to high level engineers. The current and future stakes of our society represent new fields of expertise for the ENSAT engineers who are trained to approach, understand and successfully work in complex systems. The renown of our training guarantees our engineers high quality employment. The knowledge and know-how transmitted enthusiastically at the ENSAT, will be completed by the support of the alumni network and the rich student life promoted by the student association all along the construction of the students professional project. Grégory DECHAMP-GUILLAUME Director of the INP-ENSAT Sébastien Labbé, General Director of biocenose Graduated in 2004 As long as I can remember, I ve always dreamt of starting my own company and the engineering studies have allowed me to successfully achieve this goal. While I was studying at the INP-ENSAT, I worked on the implementation of a study office in Renewable energies and environmental audits. Two years later, Biocenose was awarded the Innovative company Prize. Today my company is based in Albi and I have strong working relations with the ENSAT. Indeed several ENSAT trainees work with me every year. 4 A high quality multi-purpose training programme INP-ENSAT agronomy engineers, major actors of the living world Throughout their training, students will acquire well balanced skills in engineering, life science, social and economic sciences In a global context an agronomy engineer is trained to : Understand the organisation and functioning of complex systems, Protect our planet, Protect the environment, Ensure health and sustainable development, protect life, Feed people. 85% of the graduates find a job or a PhD opportunity within 2 months The training is designed to prepare the engineer students as well as possible for their future career : 30% of their training is devoted to practical training periods, 100% of the students complete either a 12-week (minimum) training period abroad or a study semester in a foreign university, After graduation, the engineers are supported by the alumni. Caroline Guinot, Environmental project manager at CIV Graduated in From my very first year of study at the ENSAT, I was fascinated by the human approach of agriculture. After an exchange programme of a year at a British university, I decided to specialise in production systems, environment and territories. At the same time I did the master s programme in sociology, geography and rural economy. After graduation, I worked for the regional potato board and then as a journalist in agriculture. Today, I m an environmental project manager. My mission is to foster coordination between livestock breeders and society. It is an exciting job calling for varied competences. Antoine Vachey, CEO of Fortivia Graduated in 2008 After graduating from the ENSAT, I joined a business incubator and two years later I started Fortivia with four collaborators. The rice germ, which is the leading product of our company has won the innovative product award in Languedoc-Roussillon F. It is an amazing source of vitamins and minerals. We have created a range of ingredients for the industry for those who are concerned with the nutritional value of their products. Fortivia is now sold in various European countries under different brand names. The training through apprenticeship, an interesting alternative training program!
