Lawson Business Intelligence as the enterprise standard When we first started with LBI we thought that we were getting dashboards to make our presentation to management reporting look nice, which it did, but then it took on a much broader form to enable business process automation and improvement. 13 About Red Wing Shoes Red Wing Shoe Company is a privately held corporation currently in it s 102 nd year of business, located in Red Wing, MN. We manufacture footwear in 3 plants here in the US and source footwear from several plants overseas. Our products sell in over 100 countries. Brands include Red Wing, WORX, Carhartt, Vasque and Irish Setter. We distribute through our own Distribution Centers and UPS operated Distribution Centers here in the USA and Internationally. Our customers are over 6,000 stores and/or distributors worldwide including 350+ Red Wing Shoe Stores. Also own and operate a Leather Tanning business and a Hotel in Red Wing, MN. Page 13

NOW: Customer Service dashboard allows the user to run the report on their own and to customer within minutes. Remote Sales Force Reporting VPN Connection Prior to LBI Tool allowed Sales force to run Crystal reports as needed with parameters this was very time consuming for them. NOW: Red Wing Sales dashboard contains pre-run, scheduled reports that they just come in and view much quicker for the sales force. 17 Organization Value and Benefits Executive Shipments/Orders reporting Prior to LBI Manual spreadsheet was updated by each brand each week with their sales & shipments Several hours work weekly NOW: We automated the report on our Executive dashboard and it is scheduled to run daily, so the information is even more current and is available to everyone who needs it immediately 0 hours work weekly Smart Notifications Prior to LBI We had created many Crystal reports to check for exceptions NOW: We have approximately 30 Smart Notifications that specific users when an exception condition has occurred they don t have to search for the information.
