2 ABS-LOCK SYS - STANLESS STEEL LFELNE SYSTEMS ABS-Lock SYS - lifeline systems ABS Safety s permanent stainless steel lifeline systems were specially developed for trouble-free attachment to virtually any ABS-Lock system post. This offers a wide range of installation options, including not only concrete and steel but also wood and steel roof applications (trapezoidal sheeting, seam profiles). We even supply posts specially designed for installing weights - guaranteeing penetration-free roof installation. The force-absorbing propeties of our ABS-Lock system posts reduce the force resulting from a fall to an absolute minimum. f you do not plan to use special force-absorbing posts, our ABS-Lock SYS product portfolio also offers force-absorbing system components, such as our ABS force limiter (see below). The advantages of a lifeline system ABS-Lock SYS systems provide safe, user-friendly fall arrest solutions for a small budget. Normally, the cable is strung parallel to the edge of the structure. A suitable lanyard and rope adjuster provide a secure fall restraint system which protects the user whilst working at the roof edge - without the need to permanently switch from one anchor post to another. Which intervals? Where to install intermediate posts: Our ABS-Lock SYS lifeline systems are approved for a maximum interval of 20 meters between the individual posts. However, this is only really practicable in isolated cases, e.g. between two strong steel girders. We recommend planning the following intervals depending on the subsurface (pls. refer to the table). Please also note the following: The larger the distance between the individual posts, the more difficult it is to compensate cable sag. Recommended post intervals Concrete 8-10 m Steel structures Trapezoidal sheeting 7-8 m Sandwich panels 7-8 m Metal seam roofs 7-8 m Wooden structures (beams/ paneling) 7-8 m Reinforced concrete suspended ceilings 7-8 m 8-10 m As each structure varies, the demands placed on a fall arrest system may differ considerably. To cover all possible situations, our ABS-Lock SYS series includes different systems.
