4 Company History Background Haines Bros Earthmoving was started in 1997 by Mark Haines. The business activities include drainage, construction, earthmoving and civil works. Since 1997, the company has expanded from a small size business to a medium sized company, employing some 50 plus full time employees. In addition the company engages various subcontractors as and when need arises within their area of skills, qualification and expertise. Company s Business Goals and Objectives Providing quality and superior products and services to ensure that customer needs are met to their requirements and satisfaction. Strong partnership with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors in the view to gain significant business growth and profitability. Conservation & Heritage Our company has worked on various projects that involve protection of Australia s Conservation and heritage. We have a healthy respect for conservation and the restoration of Australia s heritage, be it architectural or otherwise Financial The company has worked relentlessly over the years to achieve a stable financial base, which enables the organization the ability to manage and fund multiple projects. The company operates internal Benchmark Estimating Software, Workbench & MYOB accounting systems, and is backed by our internal and external accountants. Industrial Relations The company has in place an Enterprise Agreement with all employees. This enterprise agreement continues to provide company employees a stable working environment and maintain a cordial relationship with our principal contractors & industrial trade unions. Insurances The organization s insurance policies are in place and current at all times covering public and products liability to the value of $20 million on each policy and a motor vehicle and plant policy of a liability of $30 million on each occasion. The company has the ability to purchase other insurance policies as and when required to work in with its clients on various special projects. Mark started Haines Bros as a director, with his experience in the excavation, civil and plant hire services and is valued by the company and its clients. Matt Andersen (Operation Manager) Matt has over 15 years experience within the civil construction industry. Matt is an accomplished professional who has comprehensive management & Engineering experience in project construction.
