2 Start standardization indicator and measure based methodes at CEN/CLC in 2006 CEN Workshop Agreement CWA Saving lifetimes of Energy Efficiency Improvement Measures in bottom-up calculations published in A list of saving lifetimes as an annex to the ESD CEN/CLC JWG 4 on energy efficiency and savings calculation developed: EN Energy Efficiency and Savings Calculation, Top-down and Bottom-up Methods, published in 2012 The standard builds on the results of European projects: EMEEES on top-down and bottom-up calculation methods to monitor the ESD savings ODYSSEE on energy efficiency indicators that can be used to calculate top-down energy savings for the EU member states WS Climate change strategies 29/30 September 2015 Paris Standardization on energy efficiency calculation 3 ISO TC 257 energy savings evaluation First meeting in 2011 in Beijing Chinese initiative and leadership In Europe we saw the possibility to transfer the EN standard to the international level under the umbrella of the TC 257 France (AFNOR) and The Netherlands (NEN) offered the Chinese leadership their support as co-chair and co-secretary. Scope TC : Standardization in the field of energy savings through general technical rules and specific methodologies for the calculation of energy savings in projects, organizations and regions, and guidance on measurement, verification, and assessment of data quality as it relates to these calculations. To complement ISO standard with a standard on calculation of explaining factors for energy consumption through decomposition. It includes energy savings currently calculated in ISO To translate energy savings in an aggregated index as an alternative of energy intensity trend (applied in Europe as ODEX) 3.
