Biogas Technology in the field of Biogas & Biomass Technology a cooperation with INNOVAS (Munich) partner located in Germany
Biogas Bio diesel Biomass E-Power Heat Steam Consultancy Concept Design Projects
Recycling Bio-wastes Direct combustion Gasification Pyrolyse Fermentation aerobic anaerobic Combination 2 stages Hydrolyse-Methanisation
For Distillery Potatoes processing Food processing Agriculture Bio garbage processing Meat processing Biogas plant System INNOVAS
Using the anaerobic process Assumptions for an optimum and defect free operation High performance biogas plant is: stable process temperature Regular (composition and quantities) substrate feeding An as fine as possible pre-handling material processing (milling makes the particles smaller and the hemi-cellulose and cellulose suitable for enzyme attack and also for the hydrolyse)
Anaerobic Function The anaerobic disintegration phases of organic substances Organic contained substances (polymer substrate) Carbon hydrate fats protein Broken elements and dissolved organic links hydrolyse phase acidification phase 1st Stage compulsory anaerobic and facultative aerobic H 2 CO 2 Organic acids Acetic acid Alcohol Acetic acid (acetate) Biogas (CH 4 + CO 2 ) acetogene phase methanogene phase 2st Stage compulsory anaerobic
Anaerobic Function Optimum ph for hydrolyse and acidification stage < 7 (distillery waste between 4,0 and 6,0) In the hydrolyse phase, the organic molecular links have to be released through enzymes and be transformed into water soluble elements. This process still happens in aerobic environment In the acidification phase, the bacteria (facultative and compulsory anaerobic) develop short chain organic acids, alcohols, H 2 and CO 2. Also ammoniac and H 2 S are released. 1st Stage compulsory anaerobic and facultative aerobic Optimum ph for development of methane bacteria > 7 (7,2 till 7,8) In the acetogene phase, the short chain organic acids, alcohols, are disintegrated into acetic acid. In the methanogene phase, methane will be finally formed out of mainly acetic acid and also out of H 2 and CO 2. 2st Stage compulsory anaerobic
Function of the digester Legend 1. Feeding header 2. Gas header 3. Gas collecting system Feeding piping Evacuated into the substrate storage Methanisation stage Hydrolyse stage Methanisation stage
Possible design arrangement From < 100 m 3 until over m 3 mainly in steel reinforced concrete, may also be in steel as stand up tank Full buried partially buried Stand up
Benefit of the system Simple design, economic and request low maintenance cost High gas production High gas quality Odours emission is kept at a very low level (released substrate is smell neutral) No floating layer Sediment if any can be removed from hydrolyse stage very easy without stipping the production Controllable substrate regular flow without immersed pumps or agitators Due to the regularity, the fermentation process can be continue controlled through samples tests Very compact, doesn t required large area
