4 History 1914 Foundation as a small metal craft workshop in the city of Pleven 1926 Grinding mills production begins 1938 The company is registered as an industrial group 1949 VAPTECH is specialized in the manufacturing of grinding mills, presses and water turbines, bearings, transmissions and the maintenance of locomotives and trains, agricultural and industrial equipment 1960 Opening of a new modern plant % of VAPTECH production is committed to export 1997 Privatization, Swiss owned Forging shop Press Machining the semiheligal of the turbine Press workshop 4

7 Design VAPTECH is proud of its own Design department VAPTECH uses Unigraphics NX by Siemens for 3D mechanical design, simulations and CNC machining in the manufacturing process. For the complete Engineering Process Management VAPTECH uses Teamcenter by Siemens. 7
