This program will provide you with the knowledge and managerial skills to meet the technical qualifications for the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) Builder Medium Rise licence. This program does not have any specific entry requirements. However, completion of Year 12 English and Mathematics is recommended. The program meets the technical qualifications requirement of the QBCC Builder - Medium Rise licence. Enrolments are taken on an ongoing basis. Students can enrol at any time 24/7 online, over the phone or in person during business hours. Enrolment is for a period of 12 months. To successfully construct low-rise buildings requires a thorough knowledge of the purpose and content of the Building Code of Australia (BCA) coupled with the ability to interpret other standards related to a specific building. The unit addresses those structures classified by the Building Code of Australia as class 1 and class 10.
