2 EVALUATOR S NAME AND TITLE: MANAGER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM instructions This evaluation (and other evaluations in this series) is designed to gauge a team member s readiness to run a successful, unassisted shift. When the ratings on this evaluation meet the standards and expectations of the GM/owner/operator who is performing the evaluating, then the trainee being developed is presumed to be ready to move on to certification. date: TRAINEE S NAME: Get started by filling out the form on the right!

3 This guide is made of two parts. Continue to the next page to get started! PART ONE skill guide Part One provides an overview of each leadership skill and the behaviors the trainee should be able to exhibit and perform at a Level 1. PART two performance evaluation Part Two evaluates the trainee s readiness to successfully and consistently perform each leadership skill, provides an overall score for the category, and indicates how effectively the trainee leads customer experience for the business.

Can effectively conduct an Image self-oer. labor Executes employee food process; constantly evaluates the makeline; executes quality control systems during the shift; motivates the team to make accuracy a focus on every shift; is fast and accurate when making food; can prep effectively; keeps waste at a minimum. Enters inventory; puts inventory away correctly; accurately reconciles invoice to actual deliveries. Upholds perfect personal image, as well as enforces other employee s perfect image; holds team accountable on shift; has tough conversations when store or team are not in perfect image. Team members are in proper uniform during the shift; grooming standards are upheld; store interior is in good repair including hot bags, makeline, customer area, baking equipment, and walk in; outside entry is clean; signage and printed materials are up to standard. Schedules are completed on time and store is adequately staffed. Manages the daily schedule from shift to shift. SAETY & SECURITY All cash is handled properly. Accurately checks out drivers; exhibits heightened cash awareness.

8 part two page 3 development plan Before completing and signing the document, the GM should list out the 2-5 leadership behaviors that they want the trainee to focus on developing before the next scheduled meeting. 9 instructions After each weekly/biweekly evaluation is completed and before a trianee is deemed ready for final certification, the appropriate parties must sign the document -- whether electronically or on a printed version -- signifying that the evaluation has been reviewed and is official. After the evaluation has been completed, print out a copy to give to the trainee for their personal records.
