3 What our graduates say After studying Economics and Philosophy at the University of Leeds, the Premium Credit graduate programme was the perfect opportunity for me to gain exposure to the finance industry within a highly successful company. My current rotation in Finance involves working with executives across the company on a number of varied projects to optimise costing, profitability and pricing. Graduates are given the tools to create and add value, which requires you to be innovative and to constantly challenge the way things are done. Tamira Patel I was looking to apply my MSc in Quantitative Finance and a MA in Quantitative Asset and Risk Management and the graduate rotational programme at Premium Credit was an ideal fit. I am currently using a powerful business analysis software to produce Volume-Rate-Mix (VRM) and Income Data Analysis for senior management, which is challenging as much as rewarding. I hope to continue my development by studying for a certification in Financial Risk Management. Giacomo Colle I joined Premium Credit from St.Andrews, and spent the first year in Strategy before moving to Sales & Marketing in year 2. Key highlights of my time here includes working with the senior management team and external consultants on developing a 5 year strategic plan and setting out key objectives for the business such as driving top-line growth through increasing penetration. You will face a steep learning curve as you learn about the whole business, but the experience is invaluable. Belayat Dhamala The flexibility and duration of the programme was one of the main things that made me apply to Premium Credit. My first year was spent in Corporate Strategy and I am now working in the Finance division. Premium Credit is a dynamic company and from day one I had the opportunity to work closely with senior executives on a number of key projects. Hiding behind the scenes is not an option in this company however the recognition you get for the hard work you do makes it worth it. Shivina Patel Having completed my PhD in Computational Biomechanics at Kings College London, I joined Premium Credit and spent my first year working on the analysis of management information and business modelling. I then moved to the IT department before taking a place in Change & Control. I also implemented the new Operations Risk Control methodology into the Loan Admin and Client Review teams. The tailored graduate scheme in Premium Credit is not only for those who have business qualifications, the cuttingedge methods implemented will appeal to graduates with scientific experience too. Dr. Lin Chen Throughout my MSci Physics degree at Imperial I pursued opportunities to learn and apply programming skills such as C++ and Mathematica. Joining the Premium Credit Mobile team presented the perfect way to make the transition from scientific programming to the business world. Recently I was tasked with using analytics software to collect and interpret site traffic data, trying to understand the customer mobile experience and ensure our decisions are data-driven. Premium Credit is pushing to redefine its digital strategy and I m excited to be a part of it. Chloe Houghton With a degree in Mathematics from Bristol University this graduate scheme appealed to me because it gave me experience in a number of key departments within a financial services company, and allowed me to work with key members of the senior management team. I am currently working within Operations, helping on a key project to improve the customer experience. It is really motivating to see where my work is used, and how it is helping the entire business.
