12 Post Contract Audit - At Final Stages: Maximum Client s choice. - Required consultancy fees is less - Duration required for audit is less - Proper Reconciliation can happen at one go. - Drawbacks - Practically impossible to check 100% work of project such as the concealed items - Very difficult to recheck the whole work in last few months. Still, we know the core areas where the mistakes can happen by the project team- contractually and in measurements. - Recovery becomes difficult at last stage as contractors don t agree which finally ends up in Lumpsum settlement. - Randomly: preferable for mid level projects by Clients - Auditing done at frequent intervals such as quarterly. - Recoveries are easier to adjust during the work in progress - Streamline the billing process over the period of time. - Regularly: preferable for large projects by Clients - Regular auditing is done. - Auditing Report results adjusted in next R.A bill of the contractor - Most effective but cost implication of consultancy to Client is high.
