4 Executive Director for the Berks County Bar Association and Law Foundation of Berks County The Berks County Bar Association (BCBA) and the Law Foundation of Berks County in Reading, PA, are accepting applications for the positions of Executive Director. As the Executive Director for both entities, the person acts as the Chief Operating Officer of the BCBA, an organization of approximately 650 attorneys with a board of directors, as well as for the Law Foundation of Berks County, a non-profit organization governed by a separate board of trustees. The Executive Director is a full-time, FLSA exempt employee. He or she oversees the financial and operational activities of the BCBA and Law Foundation, including management of the headquarters building and administration of education, community outreach, fundraising efforts, grant-making, as well as social and professional activities. The position requires excellent communication skills, financial management expertise, advanced technological skills, and the ability to work effectively with people to represent the BCBA and Law Foundation. The position regularly requires work in excess of 40 hours per week, and travel. Candidate must have at least 10 years professional experience, preferably in the non-profit or legal sector, with strong organizational skills, fundraising experience, familiarity with the legal profession and ability to effectively manage staff. Leadership skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships within a diverse community are essential. A 4 year college degree is required, with a graduate level degree, especially a Juris Doctor, strongly preferred.
