2 Coffee Session on Achieving Excellence Thru Un-Learning Participants at the Coffee Session. DMA in collaboration with Innovative Institute of Unlearning (IIU) has taken a unique initiative to organize a series of coffee sessions for professionals who want to utilize learning and unlearning concepts to excel. The first coffee session on Achieving Excellence Thru Un-Learning was conducted on 12 th April 2014 in the DMA Conference Hall, Lodi Road, New Delhi with Er. Bimadraj, Entrepreneur and Wg. Cdr. K K Verma, Author Unlearn Before U Learn and active Member of DMA as key resource persons duly supported by Spear Integrity Management Pvt. Ltd. and Ideabulls. The session covered a brief presentation on the growth factors, unlearning discussions and how to achieve excellence. Er. Bimadraj emphasized that in order to achieve growth and success; one has to change the attitude towards business and professionalism. Wg. Cdr. K K Verma shared that one needs to be innovative and ready to take chances to achieve excellence in their professional life. He also shared the mantras of excellence through his vast knowledge and expertise. Release of DMA's Management Inspirations from Successful Entrepreneurs DMA organized its Managing Committee meeting on 12 th April 2014 in the DMA Conference Hall under the chairmanship of Dr. A K Balyan, MD & CEO, Petronet LNG Ltd. and President, DMA. In the meeting, Ms. Neeru Abrol, CMD, National Fertilizers Ltd. has taken over the position of Sr. Vice President of DMA. The DMA has taken another unique initiative in bringing the second edition of stories of eminent and successful entrepreneurs representing diverse businesses and sectors. In order to create awareness and acknowledge the inspirational entrepreneurs and pioneers from different sectors of economy who have successfully built, strengthened and led their business through crisis thereby making an impact on both national and global level. They are role models for the younger generation and emulating these entrepreneurs and their management style would facilitate growth and achievement of the mission in life of the next generation.

This exclusive publication will benefit practitioners comprising Chief Executives, Managers in public and private sector, Government officials, Opinion Leaders as well as Academicians of esteemed management and educational institutions, the corporate & professional members of the DMA, AIMA and the management fraternity at large. Workshop on Work Life Balance From Stress to Streamlined Life DMA organized a highly interactive and innovative workshop on Work-life Balance- from Stress to Streamlined life on 30 th April 2014 in IHC, New Delhi. Mr. Rajan Pandhi, Director, DMA welcomed the participants and the programme facilitator Ms. Preeti Subberwal, who is a Certified Master Spirit Life Coach, Certified Life Coach, Licensed NLP Master Practitioner and Theta Healing Practitioner. Mr Pandhi shared that the main objective of this workshop was to empower the participants to prioritize between "work" (career and ambition) and "lifestyle" (health, pleasure, leisure, family and spiritual development). The program was divided into four modules to maximize the learning of the participants: Live Consciously- Creating an extraordinary life Minimize your Stress Stress management approaches Expand your Energy Managing and expanding energy Create Happiness and well-being

4 The concepts and models from various behavioral sciences and philosophies like NLP, Neuro-semantics, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Metaphysics, Zen way of living, Taoist sound meditation were integrated to help the participants upgrade their mindset, skill set and tool set that is required to create a work-life balance in their lives. This workshop gave an exposure on: Recognizing behaviors and perceptions that aren t productive Staying focused on the present with mindfulness How and why the body responds to stressful situations How to exhibit "grace under pressure" Minimize work-place stress Minimize stress during business trips Increase well-being and satisfaction levels Improve mental, emotional, spiritual and physical health Managing time effectively to achieve more in a day Learn to build, sustain and renew the energy to sustain high performance Understand the mind-body connection to restore your body's natural balance The participants appreciated this practical and innovative workshop presented with a totally fresh approach to balance personal and professional life. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Pandhi, who acknowledged the participants for making the programme more interactive and Ms. Subberwal for sharing her insights and experiences with the participants.
