1 JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title: Warehouse and Facility Manager Overtime Status: Non-Exempt Department: Programs Reports To: Director of Programs & Operations Number of People Supervised: N/A Position Summary Working under the supervision of the Director of Programs and Operations, the Warehouse and Facility Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the warehouse which includes, but is not limited to, coordination of product shipping and receiving, inventory control, cleanliness, organization, planning, stock rotating, customer service, and assisting with product stocking, and organization in the Free Store and other programs. Job Responsibilities The following statements reflect the general duties, responsibilities and competencies considered necessary to perform the essential duties & responsibilities of the job and should not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements of the position. Classroom Central may change the specific job duties with or without prior notice based on the needs of the organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Warehouse: Manages product receiving, transfers, and rotation Offloads palletized donations using forklift and other material handling equipment Manages logistics of sorting, storage, distribution and assists in donation processing Ensures efficient and effective use of warehouse space to include layout and future capacity requirements Inventory: Assists the Director of Programs and Operations in developing and executing general systems and procedures for inventory control Conducts periodic or special inventory audits and reconciles physical counts Ensures that the quality of product and service within the warehouse is maintained at the highest possible standards Assumes responsibility to monitor inventory closely to ensure accuracy Tracks and enters inventory using an inventory management system Prepares the Free Store for restocking by pulling warehouse inventory Performs shelf checks to ensure the store is fully stocked Obtains freight quotes for large product donations; drives company vehicle as needed to transport local product donations and distributions Facilities: Conducts routine assessments of facility improvement needs Performs minor maintenance and works with vendors to coordinate maintenance and facility improvement projects Oversees cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, Free Store and outside grounds Ensures proper use and maintenance of all warehouse equipment and vehicles (includes enforcing safety, security policies and procedures, and scheduling regular maintenance checks for all equipment) Page 1 of 5
2 ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT AND CUSTOMER SERVICE Provides prompt friendly and professional service to all Donors, Teachers, and Volunteers Ensures a clean, functional, fun and inviting environment Assist with Free Store operations as needed Assist with volunteer relations by providing supervision, orientation, and job assignments/scheduling as needed Assist with the preparation of merchandise, work space, packing and delivery for alternative shopping programs Assist as needed with all off site organizational events DATABASE ADMINISTRATION AND REPORTING Complete accurate and timely data entry of inventory OTHER DUTIES AS NEEDED Other duties as assigned Critical Job Specific Competencies COMMUNICATION & INTERPERSONAL SKILLS TEAMWORK INITIATIVE & SELF-DEVELOPMENT CONTINUOUS QUALITY & PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT High Performance Indicators Organizes and expresses ideas and information clearly, using appropriate and efficient methods of conveying the information. EDUCATION& RELATED WORK EPERIENCE Education Level: (minimum & preferred educational requirements necessary to perform this job successfully) High School Diploma required. Years of Related Work Experience: (minimum & preferred related work experience necessary perform this job successfully) 1-2 years of experience in warehouse operations and inventory management.
