6 IPAF Demonstrator Course The course trains demonstrators who can familiarise operators with their responsibilities and demonstrate preoperational and safe operating procedures, and the limitations of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWP). Trainees will: Understand the legal requirements for management Understand the different machine classifications State the different types of MEWPs Understand the health and safety legislation and regulations Understand the limitations and use of MEWPs Identify controls, safety devices and warning alarms Perform daily/routine inspection and servicing requirements Set up in preparation for work Access ground and site conditions Understand the safe operating techniques Perform emergency lowering procedures Comprehend manufacturers instruction manuals Perform handover of equipment Understand different hire terms and conditions Discern the use of fall arrest equipment IPAF certification Hold a valid IPAF PAL Operator Card At least 16 years of age Literate Course duration: 8 hrs, incl 1 hr assessment Medium of instruction: English Government Subsidy: PIC Scheme (if applicable)

7 PASMA Towers for Users The course is designed to equip workers with the requisite knowledge to perform their work activities with aluminium towers properly and safely. The course is suitable for workers responsible for assembling, dismantling, altering, moving or inspecting mobile access towers. Trainees will learn how to: Identify relevant Workplace Safety and Health regulations / Approved Code of Practice / Singapore Standards applicable to Work-At-Height roles and responsibilities Assemble, dismantle, relocate and alter a mobile access tower without risk of personal injury as well as to those around them PASMA certification Medically fit with no visual and hearing impairment Not afraid of heights Course duration: 7.5 hrs, incl 1.5 hrs assessment Medium of instruction: English Government Subsidy: PIC Scheme (if applicable)

8 PASMA Towers for Managers The course is designed to equip supervisors with the skills to plan, organise work at height (WAH) activities involving mobile aluminium scaffold towers. The course agenda includes the following topics: Health and Safety legislation and WAH regulations Guidance on WAH with Mobile aluminium scaffold towers The Competent Person Approved assembly methods Tower categories and components Hazards Risk assessment Emergency Rescue Plans and Provisions Inspection, Tagging and Reporting PASMA certification Working knowledge of mobile towers, as well as safety and health legislation/standards is an advantage. 9 MEWP Familiarisation Training The course is designed to familiarise operators who do not have prior experience operating a specific model of Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWP). Trainees will learn how to: Perform safety checks on the specific MEWP equipment accurately Understand all controls and functions to operate the equipment safely and effectively Attained the WSQ Statement of Attainment or MOM-Accredited general training for the type of MEWP equipment The accredited general training is still within the period of validity No certification will be provided Upon successful completion of the course, operators will receive a copy of the attendance record which will be of lifetime validity Course duration: Approximately 2 hrs Medium of instruction: English Government Subsidy: PIC Scheme (if applicable)

10 Work-At-Height Course for Workers The course is designed to equip workers with the requisite knowledge to perform their Work-At-Height activities properly and safely. Trainees will learn how to: Identify relevant Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations / Approved Code of Practice / Singapore Standards applicable to Work-At-Height roles and responsibilities Identify Work-At-Height hazards and preventive measures related to Work-At-Height activities Demonstrate the understanding of use and care for the various fall arrest systems and equipment MOM-Accredited Work-At-Height certification Lifetime validity Medically fit with no visual and hearing impairment Not afraid of heights Course duration: 7.5 hrs, incl 1.5 hrs assessment Medium of instruction: English, Mandarin, Tamil Government Subsidy: PIC Scheme (if applicable)
