3 The Role: Principal Advisor, OD, Enterprise Wide SCE is looking for an Organizational Development leader to fill the role of Principal Advisor, Enterprise Wide. This Principal Advisor role is a high-level position that offers the right candidate the opportunity to act as a primary expert Organizational Development (OD) consultant within SCE s Learning Leadership & Organizational Development (LL&OD) division to share best practices for OD throughout SCE. The Principal Advisor will be in a key role to ensure that the Organizational Design and Organizational Development changes are meeting their strategic goals. This expert in OD and company culture will examine the company culture, define it, and spearhead the effort to translate the culture to business practices and organization design. He/she is the liaison between OD and the various departments across the entire enterprise. The successful candidate will establish and maintain OD products and services that exemplify a center of excellence/expertise (COE) for the company. Responsibilities Include Provides strategic consultation/expertise to department, division management and client organizations to diagnose business improvement needs (BINs) and offer solutions/interventions. Provides measurement, change management and sustainment of business solutions that is aligned with corporate strategies/goals and shareholder/customer interests. Provides best practices in organizational design, work and process analysis, team health assessment, leadership alignment assessment, stakeholder analysis, change readiness assessment, transition & sustainment plans and statistical analysis. Ensures all OD work and measurement/results are aligned with, support and have measurable outcomes for SCE strategies and goals. Collaborates with Human Resources (HR) Business Partners, senior leaders and external vendors to assess organizational development needs, develop solutions for critical organizational unit and/or enterprise level initiatives and provides support for solution implementation. Directs the establishment of policies and practices that have companywide impact. Manages messaging, client relationships/partnerships and drive/influence corporate OD sustainment/improvements and strategy (LL&OD, HR, SCE). Researches most effectively applied OD methodologies and best practices to educate the OD Team for execution of the same. Demonstrates company values through decisions and actions. Creates and maintains a safety conscious work environment by leading and influencing others to follow Edison safety protocols and safe work practices. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate for this role will have ten to twelve years of experience in leading, developing, and implementing strategic organizational development initiatives/projects (e.g., strategic/corporate organizational initiatives, organizational design, business process analysis, team health assessment, leadership alignment, organizational change, and statistical analysis). The right candidate will have experience shepherding a large organization through the process of taking OD plans from concept to reality, from the idea of the purpose and mission of a group to being a fully staffed, fully functional organization. You should have demonstrated experience building, influencing and managing professional relationships with Executives, leadership, clients, partners and colleagues. Because this is a high-level advisory role, management experience is preferred. Making short- and long-term strategic decisions that can have a significant impact on the overall quality and development of the workforce. Implementing and continually developing OD products & services. Providing leadership, mentoring/coaching, development opportunities and best practices in the field of corporate culture and strategic planning and execution of OD products and services. Prioritizing OU requests/projects and standardization/consistency of OD practices. Leading a broad range of projects related to the diagnosis of business requirements/needs and develops assessments to identify optimal solutions/interventions. Using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Project. Integrating work across relevant areas to develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks appropriately, develop and execute business plans, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers. Leadership: You have demonstrated an ability to achieve results through others, even when they do not report to you. You are highly skilled at building cohesive teams that support your vision across the business. You consistently demonstrate accountability for results and hold others accountable as well.
