1 BPE Overseas Expedition Manager BPE Bull Precision Expeditions Ltd (BPE) organises Overseas School Expeditions, DofE Expeditions, runs the National Citizen Service Outdoor Phase together with expeditions for adults and teachers. BPE is a small company with a family atmosphere based at Hexgreave Hall on the edge of Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire. BPE s Overseas School Programme BPE runs bespoke Expeditions for schools nationwide. It only works with a maximum of 10 schools per year and has an established portfolio of schools that it has worked with for several years. The expeditions range from purely project based trips to extreme frontier trekking expeditions, or a combination of both. The role Due to the current Overseas Manager leaving the company; BPE is seeking to recruit a new person to take on the Overseas School Expeditions. This is a full time permanent position to work alongside the current expedition planning team. It is envisaged the person recruited will bring their own unique perspective and experience. The role will be to manage and develop BPE S portfolio of school overseas expeditions.

2 The job specification Management of BPE s Overseas School Expedition Programme: Working as part of a team on BPE s School Overseas Expedition Programme, specifically: Planning and organising overseas expeditions including itineraries, budgets & logistics. Developing and maintaining relationships with schools, including school visits for assemblies, launch nights, interviews, parent meetings, etc. Primary contact for overseas clients. Organising training for overseas expeditions. Leader recruitment and allocation of expedition destinations to leaders in partnership with BPE Director. Organising & running leader & link teacher days. Organising or carrying out overseas risk assessments. Liaison and Co-ordination with Operating Authorities. Liaison with the BPE Doctor. The option of leading overseas school expeditions. Be part of the on call team whilst expeditions are in progress. Recruitment of new schools. Development of adult expeditions. Investigating and researching new remote expedition destinations for schools.

5 The Terms and Conditions Terms and Conditions: Hours Approx 37.5 hours per week whilst on admin/day time only. Some overnight stays will be required. Hours to be worked flexible to be managed by yourself. Pay & expenses Pay 22,500 per annum Payable monthly Subsistence expenses, i.e. food & accommodation Kit allowance 250 per year Mileage allowance of 25p You will be provided with a mobile phone & laptop which will remain the property of BPE. Place of work You will work from home the majority of time with a t least one day a week at Hexgreave Hall, Farnsfield, Notts NG22 8LS. You will be required to travel to clients, supervise expeditions, collect/distribute kit, carry out research, etc. You will use your own vehicle. Holidays 5 weeks per year (25 days) 8 Statutory Bank Holidays
