2 Where your money will go Each year RP Fighting Blindness funds cutting edge research which brings us closer and closer to finding a cure for inherited retinal dystrophies, as well as supporting those people who are affected. This is how you can help. 20 could provide an information pack for someone newly diagnosed. 100 could provide the materials needed by a researcher to carry out vital experiments. 500 could provide training for a helpline volunteer to be able to give information to anyone who needs to know more about RP and other inherited retinal dystrohies could enable a senior scientist to publish a research paper adding to the collective understanding that will eventually lead to finding a cure.

4 Charity of the Year & Employee Giving Nominate RP Fighting Blindness as your charity of the year or simply encourage staff to do some fundraising for us. We can support you with tools, tips and materials to get started. We have a experience in engaging and encouraging employee-led activities and are able to create and support a strong fundraising programme. Employee fundraising not only allows us to deliver greater impact, but engaging employees in a fun and motivating way significantly increases employee awareness of the partnership throughout the company. This further embeds charitable support into the organisation s culture and increases awareness and support for all joint activities and initiatives. We can provide you with places in popular events such as runs, cycles or challenges, or create a tailor-made event just for you.

5 Payroll Giving Payroll Giving is a simple and tax-effective scheme, which allows you to donate to the charity of your choice by a direct deduction from your salary. If your company has a Payroll Giving scheme established the payroll department deducts the amount pledged from your pay. The charity receives your donation, and the tax you would have paid on this amount is added on by the government. If your company does not have an established Payroll Giving (also known as Give As You Earn) programme then you can sign up individually. Commercial Partnerships Linking your brand or product with RP Fighting Blindness can be a great way to raise your profile as a socially responsible brand, drive sales and raise vital funds for our work. 6 Sponsorship We have a number of opportunities available; from sponsoring one of our events such as our annual Conference or Patient and Professional Information Days to one of our many fundraising activities including challenge events, dinners and networking meetings. Sponsorship also enables RP Fighting Blindness to direct as much funding as possible to vital research or the provision of information and support to patients.
