7 SELECTED PROJECTS Some of the major recent and /ongoing projects UPGRADING OF ISAKA MWANZA RAILWAY Upgrading 250 km of 90 years old railway tracks from narrow gauge to standard gauge to accommodate 32 ton axle loads and 120 km/h speed. Approximately 200 culverts and 50 bridges (up to 70m long) will be replaced to accommodate the increased axle load. Services provided include aerial mapping, topographical survey, hydrological survey, environmental impact assessment, economical/financial feasibility study, detailed design, and tender documents [ ]. UPGRADING OF TANGA ARUSHA RAILWAY Upgrading 438 km of 90 years old railway tracks from narrow gauge to standard gauge to accommodate 32 ton axle loads and 120 km/h speed. Approximately 856 culverts and 95 bridges will be replaced to accommodate the increased axle load. Services provided include aerial mapping, topographical survey, hydrological survey, environmental impact assessment, economical/financial feasibility study, detailed design, and tender documents [ ]. TANZAM HIGHWAY (220 KM) Following completion of feasibility and detailed design, we successfully super vised the rehabilitation works of the TANZAM Highway from Iyovi to Kitonga Gorge and Ikokoto to Mafinga, including the Iringa Access Road. CONTAINER TERMINAL OF UGANDA RAILWAYS IN KAMPALA Existing container handling facilities improvement plans appraisal, new container handling equipment options analysis, infrastructu re rehabilitation management, engineering design, and tender documents. DAR ES SALAAM-TANGA-MOMBASA PIPELINE The assignment involved carrying out feasibility study for natural gas pipeline from Dar es Salaam via Tanga to Mombasa, including alignment investigation, cost and feasibility of project. BENIN CONTAINER TERMINAL Construction of a 17,000 m2 container park including 4-blocks high container stacking, exterior lighting, heavy duty drainage system, structures for future installations of reefer outlets structures, and office rehabilitation. Services provided include fact finding, scope definition, engineering design, tender documents, tendering, contract negotiations, construction supervision, and commissioning. LNG PLANT IN TANZANIA Prefessional services realated to site selection, stakeholder analysis, community engagement, social performance, social and environmental impact assessment, topographical survey, and supply chain assessment for the planning and preparation of a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Plant in Tanzania.
