4 Our main expertise is not only the design and production of strip feeding lines for presses and punching machines, lines for the automotive industry and individually designed lines according to our customer production requirements, but also the modernization of KOHLER production lines and lines of other manufacturers. 06 We hold a large stock of common spare parts even for older machines which enables us to supply you quickly if the need should arise. Remanufacturing / Modernization / Retrofit Adapt your machines and lines to up to date production requirements. Very often already existing machines and lines can be adapted to new production requirements by enlargement or modification. Perhaps you have an older machine or line and would like to install the latest generation of technology or you would like to mechanically adapt the individual components to optimize your production needs. We offer all these services. This does not only apply to KOHLER components. Line components, such as press controls can be remanufactured or exchanged by us as well. 5 Apart from manufacturing levelling machines and lines for strips and parts we have specialized in modernizing old machines as well. General overhaul Used KOHLER machines are dismantled by skilled KOHLER experts. All components are checked and defective parts are exchanged with original KOHLER parts. Even operative working parts such as cardan shafts and drive belts are exchanged with reconditioned or new units. Special customer requirements are considered. If required the old machine control is exchanged by a modern, up-to-date version. The machine looks as good as new after the overhaul is finished. 6 According to our experience regular wear of the levelling rollers is assessed during machine checks. In many cases a surface treatment of the levelling rollers offers economical and technical advantages since the rollers are then adapted to the production requirements i.e. the material to be processed. Press automation A press automation is possible with a separate control of press and strip levelling line or with a common control. A common control offers in comparison to a separate control a common safety concept and a uniform operation screen that covers all functions of the press and strip levelling line. This system guarantees considerable process safety for machine operators. The modification of older controls to a uniform operation screen is possible as well. 10 Refinishing of Levelling Cassettes The core of the levelling machine is the levelling cassette. To ensure optimum levelling accurate fit is absolutely required. After several years of operation a cassette overhaul is necessary. Wear parts such as levelling or support rollers are exchanged and the complete roller frame is reassembled. 11

7 Don t miss the connection - get your KOHLER machine or line equipped with the latest control technology. A large number of SIMATIC S5 controls have been discontinued by the manufacturer and the TWIN positioning control is no longer available on the market. For this reason we recommend the retrofit of SPS S5 controls to SIMATIC S7, input and output units included. The control panel is replaced by a SIMATIC OP control panel with MPI-interface. The size of the control panel is not changed, just equipped with a new front plate The TWIN positioning control for roller frame and lateral adjustment of the decoiler is changed with new positioning componentry in the S7 control. So no more interface between SIMATIC and TWIN control is necessary. 13
