2 M1 J18 CENTRE FOR LOGISTICS SKILLS AND INNOVATION M1 PROLOGIS RFI DIRFT - OVERVIEW Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal (DIRFT) is currently a 6.25m sq ft (580,644 sq m) logistics park at Daventry in the East Midlands, adjacent to which Prologis controls a further 400 acres. The new site has planning permission for up to 7.86m sq ft (730,218 sq m) of logistics facilities along with a new rail terminal and associated infrastructure. Prologis RFI DIRFT has become a prime UK logistics location because it is at the centre of the country on the electrified West Coast Mainline railway, with easy access to both the M1 and the M6 motorways. Customers based at Prologis RFI DIRFT can reach 98% of the British population within a 4.5 hour drive time.

3 CENTRE FOR LOGISTICS SKILLS AND INNOVATION Prologis has committed to building an on-site logistics and training centre, that will focus on the skills required by our customers, at the centre of DIRFT. Known as the Centre for Logistics Skills and Innovation, the facility will be available for all our customers at Prologis RFI DIRFT to use for staff training and development. The centre will also be a valuable resource for universities, colleges and other education providers offering courses in logistics skills and logistics management. We also anticipate that the centre will be used extensively by local schools as a means of familiarising students with the career opportunities offered by the logistics sector. While the new phase of development is underway, the centre will also be able to offer construction focused training opportunities.

An attractive entrance will open into the reception area that will include break-out space and catering facilities. To the rear of the building, there will be four full height inter-connected classrooms that can be used flexibly to accommodate a wide range of activities from small seminars to heavy goods vehicle related activities or racking simulation. The first floor will provide offices for the centre administration as well as for the Prologis RFI DIRFT estate management and security teams.

The physical building will be run and maintained by the estate management company and funded through the service charge. It is intended that the learning space will be administered by specialist education and training partners based onsite at the centre. All parties using the space will be responsible for the costs of their specific activities. We anticipate that the centre will create a busy, welcoming environment where visitors will feel part of the most prominent multi-modal logistics park in the UK.

6 THE IDEAL OPPORTUNITY Full time employment in the UK logistics sector is predicted to increase by 31% between 2013 and 2035, compared to 20% growth nationally. 1 With a shortage of skilled logistics labour in prime markets, companies in the logistics sector are investing substantially in their workforce. Research carried out by Skills for Logistics showed that of the 300 logistics operators surveyed, 75% had funded off-the-job training or development and 78% had offered information training over the previous 12 months. 2 We realise that logistics education and training is vital for our customers and the sector as a whole. This new facility at Prologis RFI DIRFT will be accessible for a wide range of users and a potentially invaluable amenity for our customers. We are confident that the model for the Centre for Logistics Skills and Innovation can be replicated in other appropriate locations, and that any similar facilities will greatly benefit the community they serve.
