Vessels can operate both in sea areas and on the inland water ways, their dimensions and drafts allow them to transport cargo throughout the Russian river system and other European countries. All transportation is carried out according to the strict requirements of international and national documents, International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, solid bulk cargoes, grain, timber and general cargoes Codes, IMDG Code, etc, as well as the relevant national regulations and rules related to safe transportation of cargoes. 13 Transportation of cargoes to the Russian Extreme North areas We re able to organize transportation of heavylift and oversized cargoes to the areas of the Extreme North during the summer navigation period by sea-river going vessels, which provides connection between ports situated on Russia s United Deep System with areas of the Extreme North, excluding cargo transshipment from river vessels to sea vessels (and vice versa) to improve the efficiency of such transportation. 13

14 Multimodal transportation of over-sized and heavy-lift cargoes Towages at river and sea VBL is working in the market of project and oversized cargos transportation during the last seven years and has gained huge experience and knowledge in the field of transportation of such cargoes. «Volgo-Baltic Logistic» provides a full range of additional services, included in the complex «door-to-door» delivery. We manage our own sea-river going fleet as well as numerous barges and tugs specialized in transportation of project cargoes (including flat top sea-river barges with a length of 102 meters which is unique for Russia). We are able to carry out shipment (towage) of over-sized cargoes with minimum expenses both from the equipment manufacturers located in Asia, North America and Europe, and Russian manufacturers, mostly situated close to RIWS. The shallow draft fleet of the company allows transporting over-sized equipment through the Northern Sea Route with delivery of cargoes to the river ports of Ob river, Irtysh river, Yenisei river and others. 14
