Late bid submissions will not be accepted. 2. Bid RFI Procedure Only All correspondence MUST be sent to Stacie Talbert Scott 3. Nothing stated at the Pre-Bid meeting or any verbal/ /fax communication from anyone will change the project documents, unless Addendum is issued by Rockford Public Schools. Minutes of the meeting accompany an addendum. 4. Refer to specifications front end documents for additional information and all required forms that must be submitted with bid submission. Pay close attention to the Required Forms Checklist to ensure all forms are submitted. If any forms are missing and/or not properly completed your bid will be deemed non-responsive. 5. Bidding Requirements a. 5% Bid Bond or a Cashier s Check MUST Accompany the Bid. 3 b.all required forms must be completed and submitted with bid offer form c. Performance and Payment Bond requirements 100% of the project value, if awarded the contract d.faxed/ ed Bids Will NOT Be Accepted C. PROJECT OVERVIEW 1. Project Scope - Windows a. Remove windows and all associated interior/exterior caulk and window glazing compounds from all locations as shown in architect drawings. b.clean all caulk from substrates. c. New Window installation by Rock Valley Glass. d.expectations are to have 12 windows out per shift, 2 window openings. Schedule from Rock Valley Glass forth coming. e. Interior building areas shall be sealed during abatement and all work is to be done from the exterior, never inside. f. Courtyard windows must be wrapped before they are walked through the school. g.window openings following abatement shall be boarded up by abatement contractor with wood framing, ½ plywood sheathing and 6-mil poly as necessary to provide security and protection from weather. Rock Valley Glass will remove board up when installing new windows. h.pre-abatement window preparation including removal of any necessary metal capping and the cut back of any exterior plaster soffit shall be the responsibility of Rock Valley Glass. i. Asbestos abatement will progress ahead of window installation per schedule from Rock Valley Glass. j. Abatement Contractor shall attend necessary construction meetings and coordinate activities closely with Rock Valley Glass. k.during RPS Spring Break, March 24, 2014 March 28, 2014, Abatement Contractor shall perform window abatement for the mock-up which will include approx.. 3 single window openings. l. Window abatement will start as soon as school is out. Tentative June 9, Project Scope MEP Upgrades a. Remove flooring materials at each unit ventilator scheduled for replacement as detailed in Architect drawings. Does not include Area E. b.non-friable flooring removal may be utilized for floor tile removal provided tiles do not break during process. c. Flooring abatement shall include approx. 7 locations for duct pass throughs going to second floor. d.library mechanical room to be abated as soon as school is out, within 5 days. e. Boiler room District is requesting alternate pricing item for the removal of all insulation. 3. Project Scope New Fieldhouse Exterior Door a.
