2 The Mural Project & the Community The Worcester Mural Project is committed to making the City a more culturally dynamic place by activating spaces, engaging in the arts, and generating pride in the Downtown area. Image Source: Tourisme Montreal. 17 Apr In Summer 2016, the Project will host a marquee event in the New England region, helping to establish Worcester as a visitor destination. The ten day festival-style celebration slated to begin August 26, 2016, will appeal to a diverse audience and feature the curation of approximately 10 murals, artist panels, outdoor celebrations and other events developed to strengthen community engagement and regional tourism. The event is anticipated to bring over 10,000 new visitors to Worcester!
