1 CMU Request for Proposal for Audiovisual (AV) Systems Upgrade for CMU Dominguez Hall Published: June 9, 2016 Request for Substitutions due: June 14, 2016, 2:00 PM Notice of Acceptable Substitutions: June 16, 2016, 5:00 PM Due: June 23, 2016, 11:00 AM MDT Colorado Mesa University (CMU) Dominguez Hall Classroom Audiovisual (AV) Systems Upgrade Project The AV Contractor will furnish and install new audio, video and control systems (AV Systems) in four (4) lecture halls; eleven (11) classrooms (including divisible classrooms, a teacher education classroom with existing to be reused rear projection smart board, and CIS Lab Classrooms); four (4) breakout/group rooms; one (1) small conference/seminar room; and one (1) boardroom level meeting room with video conferencing in Dominguez Hall located on the main campus of Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, CO The Dominguez Hall AV Systems Upgrade Project is for audiovisual and control systems only, the building is not under renovation and there is no general contractor schedule. The University is reusing the existing stationary permanently fixed lecterns, projection screens, projector mounts, and ceiling mounted speakers. This project is to upgrade the core AV system equipment in the classrooms, conference/meeting rooms and breakout/group rooms. The project work to be performed consists of providing all required equipment, cables, and related components and installing audiovisual and control systems in strict accordance with the project plans and specifications (attached). The price shall include all hardware, labor, engineering, and programming. The Contractor shall complete the full scope of work to provide turnkey AV systems for each specified space for Dominguez Hall. The University is publishing the schedule of the academic year to indicate times of availability without student attendance in the building: the University is interested in coordinating the AV systems upgrade schedule with the AV Contractor in order to complete as many of the rooms as early as possible in the fall term, with a required completion date of January 16, The academic calendar for the Fall 2016 term is as follows: Fall Semester Classes Begin: August 22, 2016 Fall Break: October 14-16, 2016 Thanksgiving Break: November 21-25, 2016 Last Day of Classes/Finals: December 15, 2016 Winter Break: December 16, 2016 January 16, 2017

2 Although the University would like to complete as much of the scope of work as possible by the beginning of Fall 2016 semester we encourage interested vendors to consider a phased approach to the project due to equipment lead times and submit a response rather than providing a No Bid. Please provide a proposed implementation schedule with your bid response. The AV Contractor shall indicate in their bid response any lead time difficulties for items specified in the bid. The AV Contractor may break out mobilization charges into multiple amounts indicating completion of a portion of rooms by the beginning of the Fall 2016 term. The Contractor is expected to conduct a post purchase warranty walk-through with the University in the first year of installation. Please attach to the bid form an itemized breakdown by room. Base Bid: Spec. Section Scope of Work Total Bid Total Base Bid $ A Performance and Payment Bond are required for State projects exceeding $100,000.00, additionally, should the response exceed $50, a Bid Bond will be required. Both forms are attached with this solicitation.
