The mtivatin fr creating The PGA f America s Glf Industry Supplier Diversity Initiative began with the first ever Glf Industry Supplier Diversity Frum held in cnjunctin with the 55th Annual PGA Merchandise Shw in February f Facilitated by Natinal Diversity Slutins (NDS), a leading certified minrity-wned strategic surcing and supply base ptimizatin cmpany, the event explred the business case f The Pwer f Supplier Diversity in a Glbal Glf Ecnmy. Attendees included Jseph P. Steranka, CEO, The PGA f America, PGA f America Officers and Earnie Ellisn, Jr., Directr f Business and Cmmunity Relatins, The PGA f America, as well as sme f the leading minrity- and wmen-wned business wners in the United States. Based n the psitive feedback received frm this event, The PGA f America s Glf Industry Supplier Diversity Initiative was fficially launched the fllwing year in cnjunctin with the 56th Annual PGA Merchandise Shw.
