9 Dynamics CRM 2011 T Dynamics CRM Online Migratin Maps The StarterPak is designed t supprt a variety f migratin appraches. It was built using sample data and needs t be mdified fr yur specific business requirements. Cmments in the Blcks and the frmula fields in the Maps prvide infrmatin n ptins fr setting varius values. The Maps that nly supprt the create peratin are designed t be run nce by default. If yu chse t run them mre than nce, add lgic t exclude any recrds that have already been prcessed. Maps that include supprt fr bth create and update peratins can be used either fr a single-pass migratin apprach r a multi-pass/incremental apprach. By default the Maps are set t prcess all recrds each time the Map is run. Review the Maps in cnjunctin with yur migratin apprach and cnsider adding lgic t limit the recrds being returned t nly thse that have been updated r created since the last time the Map was run. Currency Mst Maps cntain a Blck t lkup the currency. The default currency in these Maps is hard cded t USD. If yu have a single currency ther than USD r yur rganizatin supprts multiple currencies, mdify the Lkup Currency Blcks accrdingly. Sales Order And Invice Maps The Sales Order and Invice Maps are designed fr rganizatins that d nt have integratin mde enabled. Extract The Files Frm The Zip File After dwnlading the ScribeStarterPak-CRM2011-t-CRMOnline-Migratin-Optin1_v1_ 0.zip file, extract the files t a lcatin that can be accessed by Scribe Online. Cnfigure the Micrsft SQL Server Cnnectin as described in Scribe Online Cnnectr Fr Micrsft SQL Server. Verify that the user cnfigured fr this Cnnectin has the apprpriate permissins t query the bjects in the StarterPak and update the entities cntained in the Micrsft SQL Server custm Slutin. If yu are using an existing Micrsft SQL Server Cnnectin, refresh the metadata as described in Managing Cnnectins. 18 Cnfiguring The Scribe Online Slutins After yu create the Scribe Online Cnnectins, cnfigure the Slutins. This StarterPak is divided int five main functins. Each functin has a separate XML file with multiple Maps that yu can chse frm fr yur migratin prject. Scribe recmmends: Imprting the Maps int separate Slutins, ne Slutin fr each XML file prvided. Reviewing the Maps yu imprt. Deleting any Maps that yu d nt plan t use. The Map rder is extremely imprtant. When a Slutin runs, the Maps are run in the rder in which they display in the Slutin. Sme Maps cntain dependencies n previusly run Maps. D nt change the rder f the Maps yu enable in the Slutin unless yu understand each Map's behavir and dependencies. Fr mre infrmatin, see Map Prcessing Order n page 59. Create Slutins 1. Cnfigure a new Slutin. See Adding Or Editing An Integratin Slutin. 2. In the Maps sectin f the Slutin, select Imprt frm the Menu. 3. Brwse t and imprt ne f the XML files that cntains a set f Maps required fr this StarterPak. See Exprting And Imprting Maps. 20 Review CSV And TXT Files Review all CSV and Text files that ship with this StarterPak in cnjunctin with the Maps that reference them. These files are lcated in the Samples flder, created in a prir step, when the StarterPak zip file was extracted. Determine which files t use fr yur migratin. The files currently cntain values frm sample Dynamics CRM 2011 and Dynamics CRM Online systems. Values in the files yu use fr yur migratin must be replaced with the apprpriate values frm yur Dynamics CRM 2011 and Dynamics CRM Online systems. Cpy the CSV and TXT files t be used fr yur migratin t the..\scribe Sftware\Scribe Online Agent\DataExchange flder n the cmputer where yur Scribe Online Agent is installed.
