3 Media kit OACIQ The OACIQ The mission of the Organisme d autoréglementation du courtage immobilier du Québec (OACIQ) is to protect the public by overseeing the profession adequately and ensuring quality real estate and mortgage brokerage in Québec. One of the ways used to fulfil this mission is to put in place tools that promote the development and perfection of some 15,500 brokers and agency executive officers. To do this, the OACIQ puts at their disposal a diversified range of training activities, technological and administrative tools as well as specialized publications, including the e-magazine Profession BROKER, to name a few. 2

Regarded as a reference in professional practices by various real estate and mortgage brokerage partners, this publication is also a tool for brokerage practitioners. 10 Policy on advertising in the Profession BROKER magazine - OACIQ POLICY ON ADVERTISING IN THE PROFESSION BROKER MAGAZINE Advertising published in the OACIQ periodical (Profession BROKER magazine) by advertisers must conform to the provisions of the Real Estate Brokerage Act (R.S.Q. c. C-73.2) and the Regulation respecting brokerage requirements, professional conduct of brokers and advertising regarding the rules of advertising and representation to follow. The OACIQ does not allow the diffusion of any advertising on its periodical (Profession BROKER magazine) from persons, companies or the following groups: Brokers; Agencies; Franchisors; Groups of brokers or agencies; Persons or companies promoting mortgage or real estate brokerage services. The OACIQ does not allow the diffusion of any advertising on oaciq.com website. Advertising made by advertisers Advertising made by advertisers must contain: The full name of the advertiser and, if applicable, the fact that s/he is a holder of a professional title; Advertising made by advertisers may also contain the followings: Any logo or visual element which the advertiser is authorized to use; The telephone number of the main establishment in Quebec; The address of the main establishment in Quebec; Other business information (fax number, website address, , etc.); A description of the product, service or event advertised; Any other information necessary to ensure a clear understanding and required by the type of ad. BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES Ad announcing business opportunities, i.e. sales or company mergers as well as the sale and rental of equipment, office equipment, etc. Ad validation process Ad projects are received by the Communications Department and go through a validation process by various authorities within the OACIQ. Approval is given by the Communications Department Director. The confirmation to the advertiser or any request to modify the ad is sent to the person in charge of advertising sales. The OACIQ reserves the right to refuse any ad deemed contrary to this policy or otherwise inappropriate.
