West Fest is an annual street festival in Chicago s West Town Community on Chicago Avenue between Damen Avenue and Wood Street. What makes West Fest so unique?

West Fest stands out from the rest because it is locally planned and managed by the West Town Chamber of Commerce, thus the emphasis is on local offerings and talent. West Fest features neighborhood retailers and restaurants, local fine artists, crafters, and more. The event reflects the eclectic West Town community, and is known for cutting edge live music. The West Fest live music stage is booked by Empty Bottle Presents and features current and cutting edge live music. Featured headliners in the past have included world renowned bands ESG, Speedy Ortiz, Local H, Royal Headaches, The Meat Puppets, Office, The Ponys, Redwalls, Califone, King Kahn, The Black Lips, Tortoise, Urge Overkill, The Oblivians, Mates of State, Murder City Devils, Dead Moon and many more. High quality music makes West Fest stand out from other festivals in Chicago. Since 2006 the West Fest DJ Stage has showcased world renowned local and international DJs with an emphasis on Chicago House music. West Fest s Kid Fest takes place on an adjacent street within the fest site and offers quality children and family activities including a live music stage, pony rides, local dance and theatrical performances, family friendly vendors, games and more. 100% of Kid Fest activity proceeds benefit local elementary school organizers Talcott Fine Arts and Museum Academy. Pet Fest is an area within West Fest featuring pet related vendors and sponsors, dog activities such as obstacle courses, bathing pools, and mobile grooming for charity. Local pet related businesses sponsor the area and organize the activities with 100% of the proceeds benefiting local animal shelters and no kill rescues. There is something for everyone at West Fest. The variety of live music, DJs, the family and dog friendly atmosphere draws a wide demographic of consumers from all over the region. #westfestchicago
