4 Welcome to Heartland Portico Heartland Payment Systems is pleased to announce the release of new features for Portico Virtual Terminal, a component of Portico suite of products, which includes Portico Payment Server and the Portico API suite for third party integration. Virtual Terminal Portico VT is a Windows based thin-client application created by Heartland, and available only through the Heartland sales force. As part of Heartland s long-term payment processing strategy, Portico VT will deliver functionality well beyond what merchants can access in HPS Connect, and beyond that of our competition. Going forward, Portico VT is the solution for new merchants needing a virtual terminal. Features of Portico VT Portico VT is a comprehensive payments solution for mechants wanting a low cost service that can operation on their Windows PC or laptop. This release deliveres with the following features (new and updated features are shown in bold) for our merchants: Comprehensive payment acceptance for the Restaurant and Retail verticals to include: o Card Present and Card Not Present support (MO/TO and ecommerce) o Credit, PIN Debit, and Prepaid Cards o Recurring and Card on File processing with Portico PayPlan, including flexible payment schedules, automated billing, and many other valuable features. See the PayPlan Features Summary for more information. o GETI echeck Bronze and ACH o Heartland Marketing Solutions Gift + Rewards transactions and features o Optional Convenience Fee processing o Support for Shipping Fees o Tip Processing 1 Intuitive user interface that streamlines transaction acceptance and processing, a significant improvement over the Connect virtual terminal E3 support for magnetic stripe readers and PIN pads, providing breach warranty to merchants; a unique feature in the industry Integration with InfoCentral to provide secure access to the virtual terminal for merchant administrators and merchant employees as well as streamlined access to reporting after settlement Simple fee structure ensures no surprises for your merchants 1 Per Card Brand regulations, tipping is allowed only for certain merchant types. Merchant who invoke tipping with MCCs outside of those noted below will be subject to transaction downgrades for those transactions that include tips: 4 Restaurants (5812, 5814) Taxicabs and Limousines (4121) Bars and Taverns (5813) Beauty and Barber Shops (7230) Health and Beauty Spas (7298)

6 Merchant Value Proposition Portico VT simplifies payment acceptance and processing for merchants by providing comprehensive solutions built on a platform that will change with the industry: 6 Provides a single interface for a comprehensive suite of services such as card-on-file, recurring billing, Heartland Marketing Solutions Gift + Rewards programs, and enhanced echeck processing all features that are normally available to only Tier 1 and Tier 2 merchants. Low cost Portico VT eliminates the high cost of traditional points of sales by allowing merchants to process through a virtual terminal installed on their Windows PC. Industry leading security - with Heartland s E3 encrypting card readers and secured network access available All of this is provided by Heartland Payment Services, a company merchants know they can trust System Requirements Merchants interested in using Portico VT must have the following hardware and software available in the system on which they intend to load the software, and follow the security recommendations provided below: Computer - Windows-based PC or Laptop o Supported Windows Operating Systems: Vista, 7, 8 and 8.1

7 Browser Though Portico VT is not browser based, initial login for setup requires a web browser. Those include the following: Flexible payment schedules based on weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, monthly, semiannual, or annual billing Automated scheduled billing for fixed amounts Flexible card expiration reporting along with cardholder notices of expiring cards A customer information database, which includes demographics data, along with credit card or ACH account information, all within PCI guidelines Secure access to the application with credential multi-factor authentication The ability for merchants to house multiple credit cards, signature debit cards and bank account numbers for future payment Consumer notifications can be sent to the merchant s customer notifying them of an upcoming payment, a card on file that is about to expire and sending the customer s receipt for a transaction. Merchants can set notifications for themselves for events such as declined transactions, expired cards, transaction summaries and transaction receipts PayPlan Reports Find Customers - search for customers by CustomerID, Name, Company, Primary , Customer Status, City, State/Province, Country (USA or Canada), or whether the customer has Payment Methods or Schedules on file View Customer Details - Shows all the information stored for a single customer, including Address, Contact Information, stored Payment Methods, and Scheduled Payments Find Schedules - Search for schedules by various criteria, including ScheduleID, Schedule Name, Customer ID, Customer Last Name, Company Name, Payment Method Type (ACH or Credit Card), Card Brand, Transaction Amount, Start Date, Previous Bill Date, Next Bill Date, Frequency, Schedule Status, or even the Device where it processes Heartland Portico Virtual Terminal 11

12 View Schedule Details - Shows all the information for a single schedule, including Frequency, Duration, Number of Payments Remaining (if applicable), Transaction Amount, Start Date, Previous Bill Date, and Next Bill Date Find Transaction - Allows merchants to search for transactions originating from the recurring billing system, including card on file transactions. Search by Customer ID or Schedule ID Card Expiration - Search for cards on file with expiration dates in the range specified by the user Administrative Functions These features will be handled by a link to InfoCentral o Add a user o Find a user o Edit a user o Reset password o password o Change password o Disable User o Role Based Security (permissions/privileges) o Allow merchant to create custom roles and assign them to their own clerks/users Supported Peripherals Heartland stocks the following peripherals for use with Portico VT. 13 PCI Compliance and Transaction Security Transactions are processed and stored securely on the gateway so merchants can refer to transactions at any time using any computer with an Internet connection. Transaction security includes the following: If the merchant is taking advantage of either the E3 wedge or E3 pin pad, the transactions are encrypted at card swipe For those merchants doing direct marketing, MO/TO or ecommerce, the E3 pin pad is available and can be used to securely key enter information The Portico VT never stores the PAN or track information. All transaction data is passed into the gateway and stored there. The response message is the authcode, reference number or decline message All communications from the VT to the POS gateway are secured using 128-bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) Heartland Portico Virtual Terminal 13

14 Heartland Portico VT Pricing Portico VT with PayPlan has a simple monthly pricing plan, making it easy for you to sell, and giving you the opportunity to create an additional monthly margin. We recommend that merchants use Heartland E3 Secure equipment with Portico VT: Description Exhibit E RM Selling Range % Comm Portico VT Monthly Fee $0 $0 to $50 20% residual Description Exhibit E RM Selling Range % Comm E3 Card Reader $85 $85 to $ % E3 Pin Pad $245 $245 to $ % Merchants will go through the same process in application, underwriting and boarding as any Heartland merchant. Please see the Enrollment and Deployment section of this document for more information. 14

15 Enrollment & Deployment New Merchant 1. RM faxes or s the completed Merchant application and the Heartland Portico VT Setup Request form to the Regional Service Team 2. Regional Service Team enters data from the Heartland Merchant Application into Client Manager via the normal application entry process/procedures and routes to QLR/Credit Underwriting 3. QLR/Credit Underwriting underwrites the credit card following the normal underwriting processes 3.1. If declined, follow normal notification process-entire merchant boarding process stops 3.2. If credit approved, Heartland credit card setup follows normal boarding process 4. Once Credit Approved, Regional team file builder will route to Specialty Product Team for file build and notify them via at of account in their queue. 5. Specialty Product Team will complete the file build. SPT will order any equipment the Merchant is purchasing. 6. An is automatically sent to the Merchant, thanking them for signing up for InfoCentral and directing them to establish their password Merchant clicks the InfoCentral link, and proceeds through the password reset process Once that process is completed in InfoCentral, a pop-up window titled Virtual Terminal Instructions will appear, identifying they are Portico Virtual Terminal merchant Merchant clicks the link for the virtual terminal and instructions for installation. NOTE: If they do not have Microsoft Silverlight installed on their PC, they will be prompted to do so at this time Once loaded, the merchant logs into Portico VT with their InfoCentral credentials Additional users can be setup in InfoCentral. Please refer to the Portico VT User Guide. 7. A Welcome Kit is ordered and account is routed to deployment. Existing Merchant 1. RM Completes the Heartland Portico VT Setup Request form and faxes or s it to the Specialty Products Team at or SpecialtyProductGroup@e-hps.com. If by the regional team receives the request, they will forward the request to SPT. The merchant maintenance request should consist of the following: 1.1. Portico VT Setup Request Form 1.2. MORF (If applicable) 2. Specialty Product Team will complete the file build and order any equipment the Merchant is purchasing. Heartland Portico Virtual Terminal 15

An is automatically sent to the Merchant with instructions and a link for downloading and installing Portico VT The admin will use their InfoCentral credentials to log into the website to begin the process. Note: If they do not have Microsoft Silverlight installed on their PC, they will be prompted to do so at this time Additional users can be setup in InfoCentral. Please refer to the Portico VT User Guide. 4. The account is then routed for deployment. 16

18 Sales Demo Account, Documents and Marketing Collateral Demonstration Account You can run live demonstrations of Portico VT for your prospects, using a Windows PC with Windows Vista or later OS. Here s how: Step 1: Click or enter this URL into you browser: Step 2: Log into the Heartland Portico web site with the following credentials: o Username: winner@ .com o Password: Winner$1 Step 3: If Microsoft Silverlight is not installed, or you have an older version, you will be prompted to install the most recent version. From this prompt, proceed to Step 4. Otherwise, proceed to Step 9 Step 4 Click the button, Click now to Install Step 5 When asked if you want to run or save the Silverlight.exe file, click run Step 6 When asked if you want to run or save the Silverlight.Installer, click run Step 7 When the Install Silverlight window pups up, click install now Step 8 Once the install is completed successfully, click close Step 9 When you re returned to the Heartland Portico VT Install page, click install Step 10 Whey you see the Security Warning for Heartland Portico, click install Clicking "More Options" will provide the options of creating a Portico icon on the Start Menu, Desktop or both. Step 11 Once installation has completed, the application will open. If the application does not open, double click the Portico Icon on the desktop or Start Menu.
