3 DOOR HARDWARE & ACCESSORIES: Mark selection(s) with an "X" GHI s policy is to provide, maintain and stock only brass door hardware. The lock set GHI provides will be one dead bolt lock and one key-in knob per door. It is the member's responsibility to maintain the optional accessories below in the future since GHI will not maintain them. The finish will be brass. For 1 bedroom units, connected units must agree whether to have insulation. 6 ADDITIONS: The Board of Directors encourages members with additions that are not on the Addition Maintenance Program to bring their additions onto the Addition Maintenance Program at the time of the Homes Improvement Program. FINANCING The Finance Committee is working diligently to ensure the financial aspects of the HIP are properly managed. During GHI s Annual Meeting, the membership voted in favor of the Board of Directors borrowing up to 7,000,000 to have funds available for members to borrow from the cooperative to make optional upgrades to their homes. Staff has contacted six lending institutions and three mortgage brokers for loan proposals. While several proposals have been received, more are expected. As staff continues to compile the information presented in the proposals, it would be very helpful to get an idea how many members are considering financing their optional selections through GHI. The Finance Committee expects the terms of loans obtained through GHI to be fair, but they may not be as favorable as terms members may obtain if the optional items were financed directly with a GHI approved lender.
