The bidders have to submit the price bids in the amended tender schedule. This amended tender schedule supersedes earlier tender schedule. All other terms and conditions shall remain unaltered. 3 81 3 Ground Strengthening Using Prefabricated Vertical Drains (PVDs): Design and installation of Prefabricated Vertical Drains (PVDs) at a specified grid pattern up to the design depth from the Existing Ground level (R.L. +3.0m CD varies). This includes design, supply of PVDs, installation of PVDs, real time monitoring of depth for PVDs and w ater level, preparation and submission of records etc complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. (Rate should be inclusive of providing excavators for removing scrap materials if encountered) a Zone 1/Area A as detailed in draw ing no. RA 1158/GI/005 Rev 01) through gravel,sand,silt clay,hard clay and all types of soils other than boulders or rock to a depth below ground level(n<100) including setting up and transfering of hydraulic rotary drilling equipment w ith other accessories, backfilling of all boreholes, all labour and incidental expenses etc. complete, as directed by the Engineer-incharge 295 m m b Conducting field vane shear 3m depth intervals in boreholes as specified in the above item (6.a) 85 Nos E

7 85 7 Supplying and providing facilities like installation of full height dust control shrouds or curtains, adequate w ater sprinklers for dust control, cleaning the tyres of trucks w ith w ater before leaving the site, covering of construction material w ith sheets w hile transportation and storage as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. The dust control shrouds or curtains viz. fence of 10m height for a length of 80m along the northern boundary w all near residential buildings w ith new pre-painted galvalume sheet and structural steel/ MS pipes in order to protect the surrounding area from dust w hich may cause inconvenience to and endanger the public. The barricade especially those exposed to public shall be aesthetically maintained by regular cleaning and painting as directed by the Engineer-in- Charge. These shall be maintained in one line and level. Water sprinklers to be provided for dust control is to be placed over surcharge mounds

8 86 and w ork sites. Construction materials should be covered w ith sheets w hile transportation and storage etc. complete, trucks carrying sand, earth and any pulverized materials etc. in order to avoid dust or odour impact shall be covered w hile moving as directed by the Engineerin-Charge. All surplus earth and debris should be removed/disposed off from the w orking areas to officially designated dumpsites. The tyres of the trucks leaving the site shall be cleaned w ith w ater, w herever the possibility of spillage on carriagew ays meant for regular road traffic exists. No parking of trucks/trolleys, cranes and trailers etc. shall be allow ed on roads, w hich may obstruct the traffic movement. All the above facilities except fence can be taken back by the contractor after total completion of w ork. (75% of the payment for this item w ould be released after the completion of installation w ork of fence) 1 LS LS
