2 Schedule of Works (Package II, Chainage 5/400 to 7/800 = 2400 mtrs SCHEDULE - A (CUTTING) Name of work: Limited tender for Earthwork in Cutting & Embankment (Filling), Bridge approaches, side drains, etc., from Chainage 5/400 to 7/800 Package - II at NTPC In-plant yard for construction of new Railway siding for M/s. NTPC Limited between Gadag - Hotgi section of South Western Railway at Kudgi (Bijapur - District, Karnataka - State)". Sr. No. Description of Items 1 Earthwork in cutting (Classified) in formation, trolley refuges, side drains, level crossing approaches, bridge approaches, platforms, catch water drains, diversion of nallah, & finishing to required dimension and slopes to obtain a neat appearance to standard approved profile inclusive of all labour, machine and materials and removing & leading all cut spoils either to make spoil dumps beyond 10m. from cutting edge or for filling in embankment (in layers) with all leads, lifts, ascent, descent, loading, unloading, all taxes / royalty, clearance of site and all incidental charges, bailing & pumping out water if required, etc., complete as per directions of the Engineer-in- Charge. The work is to be executed as per latest / updated edition of "Guidelines for Earthwork in Railway Projects" (Guideline No. GE:G-1 including correction slip no. 1, July 2003) issued by RDSO, Lucknow and as per Tender document conditions. Cut trees, if any, shall be property of Corporation / NTPC and to be deposited in Corporation / NTPC location as directed by Engineer-in- Charge. [Chainage 6/200 to 6/600 = 400 mtrs & Chainage 6/950 to 7/300 = 350 mtrs, Total Cutting length = 750 mtrs approximately]. 3 b Soft rock not requiring blasting in all conditions and excavation done using breaker attachment or chiseling and including filling in embankment at nominated locations between km 3/800 to 7/800 or dumping / stacking at other locations including beyond NTPC land boundary and at Contractor s own / private locations / land c In hard rock excavation requiring blasting with explosives and blasting / drilling equipment Including all incidental works in all conditions. Rate includes cost of all explosive material. Cum ,250 1,16,59,768 Cum ,12,450 5,09,09,488 Note - (i) All usable earth arising from cut spoils shall be led into bank formation any where between km 3/800 to 5/400 or beyond this chainage upto km 7/800 where filling is required beyond km 5/400 and Unusable spoils shall be dumped / stacked with in NTPC land, if available. Otherwise contractor has to dump out side NTPC land boundary on private land and this dumping yard to be arranged by contractor on his own cost. (ii) All hard rock and boulders not fit for filling will be stacked by the contractor and will be the property of the NTPC. (iii) These items will be paid only after compaction of earth, if cutspoils are filled in embankment as per Schedule - 'C'. iv) No extra payment shall be made for filling (embankment) beyond km 5/400 upto 7/800 and rate includes all lead, lift, etc. (v) The Engineer-in-charge shall decide the classification based on strata conditions and shall instruct the contractor to execute the work under hard rock / soft rock items and payment under these items shall be made based on this prior instructions of Engineer-incharge only and the depth / level of the cutting quantity to be paid under these items shall be decided by Engineer-incharge (or higher authorities) which is final and binding. 5 SCHEDULE - B (FILLING) Name of work: Limited tender for Earthwork in Cutting & Embankment (Filling), Bridge approaches, side drains, etc., from Chainage 5/400 to 7/800 Package - II at NTPC In-plant yard for construction of new Railway siding for M/s. NTPC Limited between Gadag - Hotgi section of South Western Railway at Kudgi (Bijapur - District, Karnataka - State)". The rates shall include all dressing of bank to final profile, demarcation and setting out of profile, site clearance, removing of shrubs, roots of vegetations growth, heavy grass, benching of existing slope of old bank, all handling / re-handling. taxes, octroi and royalty etc. as a complete job. Cut trees, if any, shall be property of NTPC and to be deposited in the NTPC godown / yard unless specified otherwise in the Special conditions of contract. [Chainage 5/400 to 6/200 = 800 mtrs, Chainage 6/600 to 6/950 = 350 mtrs & Chainage 7/300 to 7/800 = 500 mtrs, total length = 1650 mtrs] With Contractor s own earth Cum ,39,550 25,10,53,555 Note: (i). The filling in embankment is mainly with NTPC / Corporation earth (cutspoils) of around 50,000 Cum and to be done in both tendered Chainage between 3/800 to 5/400 and beyond tendered Chainage between 5/400 to 7/800 (Package - II Chainage) within NTPC In-plant yard and payment will be made as per the rate in item schedule A and as per awarded rate on this schedule.
