3 INTRODUCTION DUTCH CULTURE AT THE 2010 WORLD EXPO The Netherlands pavilion at the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai will be accompanied by a Dutch cultural programme at the Dutch Culture Centre at 800 Chang De Lu in Jingan district. This enterprise is compiled by the Netherlands China Arts Foundation (NCAF), an organisation that invests in cultural exchange between the Netherlands and China. The Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science has therefore commissioned the NCAF. The Dutch Culture Centre will host various exhibitions, live performances and conferences for a period of 6 months. This document will give a brief overview of the venue and acts as a guideline for participating organisations. 22 FURTHER INFORMATION SUPPORT TEAM The Netherlands China Arts Foundation will provide a management team that will take care of coordination of program and practical issues concerning the venue. This team will also assist all project participants and help to get their activities relaized according to planned program. The team consists of project manager, event coordinator, communication & media coordinator, and others. INSURANCE The venue owner provildes third party liability insurance for the building ONLY. The 800show area will have 24 hour security in place. A CCTV system is installed. Each participant or project needs to have its own insurance for the items related to its activity. For example expensive exhibition objects might demand special care and security. THEATRE SOUND AND LIGHT The Netherlands China Arts Foundation will provide a professional sound and light installation in the temporary theatre space. The equipment will be installed permanently for the use of the participants. It will include a standard stage setup, wireless microphones, speakers and mixing table. Lighting will include stage lights and spots. A technician will be standby to assist with operating the installation. The operation for each event needs to be done by the performing party itself, in order to achieve the right artisitic and accoustic quality. LOGISTICS We aim for local transport agency that offers full services. In process. LOCAL OUTSOURCING DCC aims to provide standard service for building the exhibits. In case you need to find local producer for your exhibition itself we will try to help you with addresses and recommendations.
