2 REQUEST FOR QUOTATION Gravel Supply and Delivery The Town of Stellarton will be accepting bids for the supply and delivery of Type 1, Type 2, Crusher dust, and 25mm clear stone on as needed basis. Bids are to be returned to the Town Office, 250 Foord Street in a sealed envelope clearly marked, RFQ Gravel Supply and Delivery and are to be received no later than 2:00 p.m., April 26, The Town of Stellarton reserves the right to reject any or all bids, not necessarily accept the lowest bid, or accept any bid which it may consider to be in its best interests. The Town of Stellarton also reserves the right to waive formality, informality, technicality on any bid.

3 Town of Stellarton RFQ Supply of Gravel and Delivery General Instructions: 1. This form is used for tabulation purposes. 2. All bids must be submitted on the form supplied with the document. 3. The specification sheets form part of this bid and must not be removed. 4. Only firm bid prices will be considered. 5. The Town of Stellarton considers that all suppliers act in good faith and intend to supply materials and services of high quality. 6. The Town of Stellarton will not accept any material that is inferior to or substituted. 7. This bid is not intended to exclude standard supplied materials except where specified. 8. Prices are to remain valid for 60 days following the closing of the bid. 9. Late bids will not be considered and will be returned unopened. Fax, telephone, or bids will not be accepted. 10. The following will be taken into consideration when awarding the bid: The bids meets or exceeds the specifications. All bid forms are completed in all aspects. Delivery schedule 11. The Town reserves the right to reject all bids; not necessarily accept the lowest bid; waive any irregularities; formalities, informalities, or technicalities; and to accept or reject any offer whatsoever as considered by the owner to be in its best interest.

4 General Requirements: 1. Gravel will be delivered to 110 MacGregor Avenue, Stellarton between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday to Friday on as needed basis. 2. Any variation from the specifications must be noted on the specification sheet and accompanied by a statement fully outlining any departures from the specifications and fully describing the commodities offered and may be call for rejection if it substantially affects the performance for the intended application. 3. Bidders shall include a certificate of good standing from WCB and the Nova Scotia Construction Safety Association. 4. The gravel quantities on the RFQ form are approximate values only. The Town may use less or more than the value indicated. The Town will only pay for the amount of gravel used based on the provided unit price. 5. All classes of gravel shall conform to the NSTIR Standard Specifications of for Highway Construction and Maintenance.
