4 WHO SHOULD ATTEND The Public Works Continuing Education Conference is intended for experienced managers and other public officials concerned with public works management. Other people who meet program eligibility may also enroll. PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY To be eligible for enrollment, one of the following prerequisites must be satisfied: possession of a Certified Public Works Manager (CPWM) license; Water or Wastewater Licensed Operator; NJ Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Certified Recycling Professional; or current enrollment in the CPWM program with satisfactory completion of Management Tasks, Responsibilities and Practices; Human Resources; and Public Relations. REGISTRATION INFORMATION The registration fee includes tuition, continental breakfast, breaks, and luncheon. Early registration is encouraged. Registrations are processed on a first-come, firstserved basis. Attendees should submit registration forms with method of payment in order to reserve a space. No confirmations will be sent. The Center reserves the right to cancel any course or seminar. CGS will notify all students enrolled if there is a cancellation and the information will be posted on the CGS website. WITHDRAWAL Participants who wish to cancel their registration may do so up to three (3) business days prior to the start of the conference date. Participants must submit their notice of withdrawal in writing to the Center for Government Services in order to receive a refund of the full conference fee less a $25 processing charge. 5 CEU INFORMATION The Center for Government Services has applied to the Department of Community Affairs (DCA) for CPWM credits, to the NJ Water Environment Association (NJWEA) for TCH credits and to the NJ Recycling Certification Advisory Committee for classroom CRP credits. Individuals interested in obtaining separate NJWEA certificates for sessions approved by this agency should contact it directly. The Center will provide DCA, NJWEA, and the Recycling Certification Advisory Committee with attendance records for approved sessions. SESSION HANDOUTS Conference handouts will be available online at No handouts will be distributed at the conference. Please visit the website and print out any handouts ahead of time. PUBLIC WORKS ASSOCIATION OF NEW JERSEY MEMBER SUBSIDY The Public Works Association of New Jersey (PWANJ) has offered to subsidize a portion of the conference registration fee for its active members. If you are currently a member of the PWANJ with dues paid in full, please mark the registration form accordingly. All membership inquiries should be directed to the PWANJ. Rutgers will work with the association to ensure membership status before granting the discount. 5

6 HOTEL INFORMATION ACCOMMODATIONS Overnight accommodations are available at Bally s Atlantic City for $69 per night for single or double occupancy, plus applicable room tax and fees. Reservations must be made before February 28, Any reservations made after the cut-off date are on a space available basis and may not be given the discounted rate. A credit card is required at the time of booking. Cancellations less than 72 hours prior to arrival will be subject to a forfeiture of one night s room charge. PARKING Overnight Guests - The current parking fee for overnight guests is $5.00 for self parking or $10.00 for valet per stay. Daily Attendees - The current parking fee for guests attending one day of the conference is $5 per day.
